I don't think Sorum gets the credit he deserves. Apart from being extremely composed and concentrated, he is doing an amazing job in side out and defence, even though he has been targeted since forever by all the teams the Vikings have faced over the years. Mol is simply the best blocker the sport has ever seen. No surprise they've been dominant for so many years.
@cartelrecords35792 жыл бұрын
Mmm Dalhausser can compite with Mol to be the best blocker ever and you also should know that Mol was targeted like 1 or 2 years ago because Sorum was so strong at sideout and no teams were able to defeat them, so they discover that the weak point of vikings was Sorum because in 5 balls he destroyed 3, he missed 2 but now he improved the sideout and its a suicide to serve him and also Sorum is not as strong as some years ago that he was a machine of sideout
@druidzown Жыл бұрын
Sound observation Natalia! I noticed, in this match and in others, that the opposition of Norway never has a chance to tie the score when they pull ahead. Their side-out is too consistent to let them tie it let alone move ahead in score. Norway often rides a 1 or 2 point lead the entirety of the set and match.

Sweden played their worst match in the finals and did to many easy mistakes unfortunatly
@BlackMercurialVapor2 жыл бұрын
They're very talented and absurdly athletic, but their style of play is too "wild". Over the course of a tournament, when they can't win by skill, they lean on their athleticism to tip the scales. The problem is that it is unfortunately a double edged sword. There is a reason why nobody plays a whole match at the speeds Sweden opts to. For each burst of energy or super explosive jump set, they lose a little more out of their legs and their battery for the match diminishes. So when going up against a team that is very athletic themselves but more skilled and disciplined, It asks too much of their passing technique and bodies to run that tempo for 2-3 sets. I see them continuing to develop this style for another season or two, before their skill levels mature to a point they no longer need to rely as heavily on their 2 ball and speed. All that being said, they're incredible to watch and very exciting for the future of volleyball.
@ΧαρηςΚοκκινος2 жыл бұрын
@@BlackMercurialVapor I like that point of view, but honestly I'm not 100% convinced that this is them being immature and not them showing how everyone will be playing in five years. It's kind of frightening to see them play, really. And it's only because Norway are absolutely extraordinary that they managed to stay ahead. It's like sweden is changing the game, I've never seen anything like it. So I'm kinda curious if it's going to be like you said, that they'll grow out of it, or if it's going to be that they'll get even better at it, so that not even Norway will be able to keep up (and eventually forcing everyone to imitate them).
@Uwu____f2 жыл бұрын
@@BlackMercurialVapor They beat Mol and Sorum in the European championship, which they also won. They are consistently beating the top teams in the world. There style of play isn’t to “wild” it’s just different from the way people traditionally play beach. Most people just don’t have the ball control and speed to play like they do.

They're playing the most unique style and are both amazingly talented, but Mol might just be the best blocker in the history of the sport. Sorum sides out with his eyes closed. So I'd hold on calling them more talented, not yet
@P1886-g5q Жыл бұрын
To win against Mol Sorum, they'd have to be exceedingly consistent with all skills. Thus, they are obviously not as talented. Nobody is at this time.
