MOLASSES SUGAR COOKIES 3/4 c shortening 1 c. sugar 4 T. molasses 2 eggs 2 t. baking soda 2 c. flour 1/2 t. cloves 1/2 t. ginger 1/2 t. cinnamon 1/4 t. salt *Cream together shortening, sugar, molasses and egg; beat well. Sift together flour, cloves, ginger, cinnamon, baking soda and salt; add to first mixture. Mix well; chill. Form in 1 inch balls, roll in granulated sugar and place on ungreased cookie sheet two inches apart. Bake at 375 for 8 to 10 min. About 4 dozen cookies.
