Due to Meridian Laboratory’s precision casting process, the outer layer or skin of the parts remains intact, the smooth surface finish prevents ML6 polyurethane from damaging, marking, or marring materials, while providing additional friction.
Oftentimes, customers will question if their parts will have less friction, due to the smooth and uniform surface. Think of this like the tires of a drag race car, versus a typical everyday vehicle. The tires on a race car are perfectly smooth to allow for maximum traction.

ML6 products are tighter in tolerance across all dimensions, including diameter, bore, and especially total indicated runout. Final parts can be guaranteed within a tolerance up to 0.001 of an inch total indicated runout, or better.
This superior total indicated runout of ML6 eliminates problems such as misalignment of products being fed or driven, incorrect encoder signals, vibration, unnecessary wear and tear on machinery, or misses and jams in product feeding applications.
Our process guarantees an extremely strong bond between the ML6 polyurethane and its core. In fact, the bond is so strong that the polyurethane material will tear before the bond separates or breaks. Compare that to a competitor's roller where the bond is not strong, and will result in wasted downtime due to untimely product replacement. This is critical in high friction and heavy load applications.
