Yes, Rodel, The putty will work with clay. Are you thinking as a way to make two part molds? The ImPRESSive Putty works the same as the clay, so you can eliminate if you just use the Putty for two part molds. Instead of cutting the putty to make it into two halves, you can do one half, cool (and chill) one half and then press on the other half. The two halves won't stick as long as one side is cooled first. This works great to make two part molds really easily...hmmm, I see a new video coming soon :) thank you! Stan from ComposiMold

I need answers: A)Can I use molding clay instead of putty? B)Does melted crayon work too?

The difference between the ImPRESSive putty is that it will hold the shape of the object you are molding once it has set up and you can easily remove the cast from the mold. Modeling clay would just deform and stick to your parts. Melted crayon will work just place the mold in the freezer for an hour before pouring the crayon into the mold.

How sturdy are the clones, are they as strong as the original or fragile?

Thank you for the question! The strength of the clone will depend on the plastic resin used but, in this video we used Protocast 85R composimoldstore.com/all-products/purecast-605-1-12-quart-kit/which is very stiff unlike a typical toy soldier it will snap instead of bend when to much force is applied. If you want your clones to have some flexibility I would recommend using Purecast 605 urethane resin composimoldstore.com/all-products/purecast-605-1-12-quart-kit/

The ImPRESSive Putty is clay-like when heated, but solidifies to s rubber to keep the shape when cooled, so the mold can be reused without deformation.
