Actually mam..i hv used such formula to calculate the no of atoms in 12 g of C-12...i did this many times i.e 12/12*1a.m.u=12/12*1.67*10to power-24..it came out 100*10to the power24/167=5.9*10to the power23 atoms...it is not equal to Avagadro number exactly i.e 6.022*10to the power 23 particles...actually the problem was it tht Amedeo Avagadro found tht the weight of 1 mole of C12 was 12 g...then he calculated the mass of 1 C12 atom by Mass spectrography...the mass of 1 C12 atom was determined 1.99876*10to the power-23grams...with this idea..he found the no. Of atoms in 1 mole came out...12g/1.99876*10to the power -23=6.022*10to the power 23...so my request is to u tht plz mam dont gv rough ideas..give a solid idea which is actually true..thank u...actually i m also teaching chemistry bt i hv nvr gvn any misconception to my students

Madam, you explained by taking 1 hydrogen atom which contains only proton and Proton’s mass is 1.67x10^-24. What about neutron’s mass in case of other atoms ? In case of Sodium, it’s mass is (p+n). Neutron’s mass is also equal to proton’s mass that is 1.67x10^-24. So, please explain how to find out no. of atoms of other elements? How to calculate moles?
