Thank you, yeah I like these voice over style ones better also, however it requires a ton of work to do. It takes me maybe 1-2 hours total to do the talking at the camera while tying videos. But with these, it’s 5-15 hours. Lots of editing, just so much more work. I’m doing this style right now because I cannot do the other type. I’ve got baby chickens in my office right now. We hatched out some eggs and are waiting for them to grow to take them out to the rest of the flock. They are so noisy that I can’t just talk at the camera. In 2 weeks they will be outside though so soon I’ll probably go back to the previous style.

If I don’t have CDC feathers, could I use maribou?

Marabou will not float, I would try a floating synthetic before marabou. Or just get some cdc. It is the best really for this.

The mole was one of the first patterns I learned to tie. I like superfine dubbing because I think that beaver fur hides the profile by being too bushy.

Yeah it’s a good one to start on. I think both dubbing’s have their own merit. Different properties for different uses
