No. They are trauma-bonded. Basically they were victimized vicariously by being the ones to discover their best friend crying and shaking uncontrollably with his pants around his ankles with clear signs of rape. It’s not normal to follow your middle school friend to a far away probably expensive boys high school. They were traumatized too they probably just don’t know it. Not saying they aren’t “brothers” but it’s definitely more than what really close friends would call blood brothers.

@@virtueofabsolution7641 Dude it's no different than being in the army together and going through something awful together and for some reason none of you really talk about it but you are somehow always there when one of you breaks down and helps keep it from getting worse. I've seen stuff like this and it seems necessary for humans to move forward. Some guys I know weren't even in the same squads or units or even divisions and yet they hang out together all the time now that they are out. I know better than to ask after some of what I've seen. It doesn't surprise me to see horrible things outside of military service having the same impact.

The real tragedy is that I’m pretty sure they are what you call “trauma-bonded”. For fucks sake they found their happy go lucky pure hearted friend in the gym closet sobbing uncontrollably with his pants around his ankles. You didn’t think it was weird they followed him to a high school that the story says “is far away from home” ? That’s definitely not normal as I’m pretty sure even in Japan all-boys academies are rare and likely expensive. The story hasn’t talked about it in depth but the truth is there was actually three victims that day. I can’t even fucking imagine that horror finding your friend that way.

@@The_Imperial_Enforcer no, he didn't. He's just saying Aya is also that's part to blame. Just because one party is at fault, doesn't mean the other party is free of fault. The world is not as clear as everything is black or white/good or evil. Sure he lashed out at Tsubasa for victim blaming was deserved, but her initial warning was implying Seto might be a dangerous person. She kinda indirectly pushed her to dig up his past. If she really cared about him being a victim, she should have given her proper warning as to not hurt him since she surely know first hand of being a victim of a victim blaming. It's a natural thing to get defensive and feel attacked when emotions are heightened. It's a natural defense mechanism for people. When emotions are running wild, we tend to close up and prepare to either be attacked or attack preemptively. This was honestly a great representation of how trauma can affect someone on both sides of it. While the Femc was wrong in how she blamed the protag, her own hangups with sex and intimacy are also genuine things she must navigate herself.

I liked how Rio is connected to the school nurse, that was a shocker. I think the video really demonstrated how much of a struggle and difficult journey it is in healing from trauma. I loved how his friends, his brothers, were always by his side and always watching over them. I’m glad Seto is able to focus on himself and take the time to properly care for himself and navigate the situation as best he can while moving forward. I liked that the correct parties were held accountable by essentially everyone who is a decent human being. Definitely a beautiful story, and I’m glad I stumbled upon it.

These narratives are so important and they need to be told! There is a surprising amount of depth, insight and compassion in this manga. Not only from the point of view of the survivor, but also from their friends and prospective romantic partners. Even the fact that they show his girlfriend feeling irrational jealousy towards his abuser is so important! I wish there were more cases of this extensive insight in western media. Yes, tales of assault are often told, but it is usually very clear how the audience is intended to react. That is certainly not the case here.

Once you experience such a thing you know you cant easily go back to such a person as there will just be a fresh fear of worry that anything you vent about will make you blamed or get em upset again, which creates a toxic relationship for one party of the relationship if not both parties

As a past SA victim I completely understand both parties viewpoint as after 'it' i couldnt really try to view sexual activities the same anymore. Within the first few years it was hard just getting to understand why people have to do such disgusting acts and why its normal. It pisses me off that a R victim tried to overcome his truama and even remotely speak up about it to the different sex after everything, he should be the one getting hurt? again as strictly speaking the girl although having full reliability of getting to know his past cause she asked first discarded his emotions and truama and has the nerve to say/interpret that why he couldnt do anything. Its hard for us to do anythig as we have a fight, flight, or freeze response to something traumatic. You killed someone you didnt mean too 9 times out of 10 you'd freeze up realizing what you did. Thats the same for us, we freeze up and get tensed since we dont expect shit like that to happen. But overall this manga shows a good depiction of that no matter who or whats wrong and whats right everyone can be a victim and we shouldnt brush things off. Except for the offenders. Sorry for this long ass comment im just a little heated.😅

Yeahhh idk I think honestly there's no point when it comes to dating in highschool because ultimately, it's a custom that's supposed to lead to marriage. When you're dating, you should already have your shit together mentally and financially. And a lot of it feels more like a job, a responsibility than it is something that's actually fun. Like, I do find girls attractive but I just feel a lot better alone. And when I'm frustrated about those bad thoughts in my head, the best thing that helps me is just going to the gym. Idk why but just lately, I love breaking prs and listening to heavy metal while lifting. Makes me feel so good afterwards.

To be honest.. i am intrested in these stories or mangas, sorry if i sound weird, but its really intresting to learn the mind of these people, it teaches you to: report, how to act, and what to do, and read what there thinking, the mind is quite intresting, :the childs mind is not that old, its memory will always remember it, due to the mind always remembering what causes your life to 180 TURN.this is the edit: people who suffered such acts are forced (most of the time), children are not that old enough to know what there thinking of, like gaslighting, lies, or tricks to get closer, teachers have AUTHORITY of there students, they cannot just ignore it, like in school, you must listen. If you see this, get therapy or help and sort out on your emotions.

It's about a popular guy who is a womanizer who accidentally over heard the confession of a girl he writes off as a prude only to find out that her stepfather had been sa her since she was a child.its dark but is very healing especially for those who have trauma

I know this story is about children but it’s really not “for” children. You should go back to reading Naruto and One Piece. This author is spot on and real. People can’t always control their feelings and even sometimes unknowingly walk into situations they aren’t equipped to handle. Nobody in this story did anything wrong. Tsabasa is incredibly sheltered. The story even makes a point to contrast her feelings from reading perfect-romance innocent love stories her whole life. Honestly she strikes me as the kind of girl who doesn’t even know that boys have a penis and not just balls. This criticism of the character is wild kid.

Rape is the most disgusting thing that could happen to you. You'd feel like puking the thought that you had sexual contact with someone you are not compatible with nor physically comfortable with. You'd feel violated and defiled feeling yourself dirty. You'd want to avoid certain people especially people resembling those that violated you. I had that feeling when a girl sexually defiled me. If you guys think that it's nothing, I was just like you before with that kind of thinking but boy... I was wrong.
