Nice, thank you very much. If I understand correctly, for removal you didn't disassemble more than just the grey retainer, and then with the release tool you are able to remove the pin directly? Normally I would think I would disassemble the connector more than that. Again, thanks.

Hi Bubu, You would have to remove the slide on cover as well, then slide the grey retainer out and then use the terminal removal tool. You can also use a pin or even a cellphone sim card changing pick. but you have a 50% chance of pushing on the right side as the locking tab is only on one side.

I am assembling a harness. And the terminal goes in all the way to the point where the grey secondary lock slides and locks easily. But the terminal doesn’t click into place. What would cause this

@@rudys3652 Improper crimp not allowing terminal to slide all the way in, get the molex tool or racespec's cmc crimper. I prefer the racespec online version. Either way you look at it, its going to cost you 500-700$ for the proper tool but if you do a lot of these its worth it

This is unnecessarily hard to simply pin into the connector. Hell to depin, inefficient and fragile if a mistake is made. Terrible design and garbage connector

What crimp tool do you use for the large contacts? The official Molex ones are ruinously expensive for someone making a single harness.

I have the Sargent 5 piece crimp set which I use for both terminals. The large ones you would be able to use most conventional single stage terminal tools.
