cant weld thru .5 too thick when you see bus bars with .5 mm copper they have nickel inserts so that defeats the purpose as the nickel strips insert cant pass same amps as the copper thus limiting it. The nickel inserts have resistance if i could i would. You know how hard it is to weld thru .15 nickel and .3 mm copper? you need welder with 2000 pulse amps.(Kwelder or Glitter) those nickels strip inserts are so those baby welders can weld the bus bars. You cant weld thru .2 or .3mm copper and .15 nickel with BS welder. You dont need .5 if your bus bars as wide as the entire surface area. although its .2 and .3 its dam near 40mm wide. some of those prefabricated bus bars are .5 but they only 10mm wide and they have nickel inserts. The nickel inserts fk the whole bus bar up. Those alibaba pre fab bus bars that are .2 mm with inserts only good for 150amps because of the limitation of the nickel inserts. They look nice but thats it, Those inserts so the can easily be welded adds a ton of resistance to what would have been a good bus bar. Thats why My P42 packs can pass so much current with low resistance because my bus bars are all solid copper no inserts and have the additional .15 nickel on top thats added to the total metal mass of the bus bars. If those Prefab didnt have limitations you think Id be cutting making these hand made ones? Hell No its allot of extra work but its Max current flow low resistance why my packs kick ass and take names!

The premade copper buss from wellgo don’t have any areas that don’t have copper. It’s all copper, the nickel area is just ontop of the copper area same as a copper nickel sandwich technique. Plus it’s stamped to provide a better connection to the cell vs a flat buss bar. You can order custom sizes up to .5mm. Standard sizes are.2 or .3 of copper. Veru expensive though.

This new battery sounds like a game changer ! The reviews are good , but personally I think you know your thing , when it comes to extreme configuration battery impedance, and performance , by creating the beast, I can imagine how the RZ will perform 💪
