I was on that EB train at the 1:50 mark. Your videos popped up on my suggestions, started watching them never imagined the timing would work out where I'm in one. Great work on your videos

What a trip. Popped up in my feed and it really took me back. 60’s-early 80’s kid from Moline. Born in Moline Public Hospital and was a 70’s kid here and what a time it was. Wouldn’t trade it and try to explain it to people out here on the west coast…honestly there stories are really the same. It was the era and California people have no concept at all of what an Illinois winter on the Mississippi is like. ‘77-‘78 blizzard winter was all it took for me. Delivered the Daily Dispatch every frozen January day in that shit and I swore…going to finish school and split. I did exactly that in 1989. It will always be home and hold a tender place in my heart though and get back when I can. Sure hasn’t changed much and that’s just fine with me. God bless all of you 💯

Lived there in the late 60s, worked there in the mid 80s, but recognized very little remaining except on 16th St from the old high school/Black Hawk building down the hill to the NE corner of 5th Ave.

I like the Iowa side of the qc better than the Illinois side.
@efil4kizum Жыл бұрын
is that because of the jump in fuel prices once you cross the Mississippi?

@@efil4kizum Not really I just think Davenport did a better job with their downtown then Moline did.

How come you only show the bad parts of town. When you went through downtown Moline you were one block away from thriving downtown.

I drove to Moline, Illinois, a few weeks after buying my gay car to see the Toyota dealership where the car was sold new, though I bought it used around a month before this video was made.
