Your Bloopers are adorable 😍 and adds such a real, human factor to your Lectures!! OMG! Turbinates!! 😁 Never knew what they were called. Here's something that you MIGHT find interesting... especially about Genus: Turbo. I was a Racing Car driver and Engine Builder for many years (my main Hobby). Turbochargers are a common feature of high horsepower Engines. A Turbocharger really resembles a Turbinate... In fact we always called Turbochargers "Snails"! I THOUGHT it was just a play on words, because they made slower Engines FAST, while actually reducing harmful emissions. 😉 In this one, you REALLY taught me something intriguing!! Another tidbit, the Conch is the only Gastropod that I find appetizing! I know that the French enjoy several Snails 🐌.... But I never could get myself to try one. Even though the Conch technically IS a Snail!!

Wow go figure! I never knew there was a connection between snails and engines! hahaha And yea, I used to do the bloopers a lot, I liked that I shared the imperfections so people knew I was no where near perfect, but I stopped adding them in my newer videos because I just don't make as many mistakes or at least not funny ones anymore haha, but I do think it's a fun addition to my older videos for people that go back and watch those ;)

@@GEOGIRL One can find Science ANYWHERE!!🤗😎 It's good that you've gotten so much better.... trying to "make bloopers" now would look contrived at best.... Keep up the great work!! I've got so many of your Videos to catch up on. I feel a bit smarter after each one!! 🤗 ❣️ 💕

2:00 - Those molluscs that do not have shells are more rarely preserved due to a lack of the shells, and this is obviously. Though some of them are able to be preserved potentially, but only in Lagerstattes. MORE STREET GASTROPOD FINDS EVEN WITHOUT SHELLS!!!

Hello! I found some interesting bivalves and a large gastropod fossil/s in the Chihuahuan desert, just to the west of Ciudad Juarez, Mexico. They are all a mouse gray color. I have been trying to identify them by class/ order to no avail. I am reading field guides, watching fossil videos, and looking on the Internet. The bivalves are mostly clams, mostly smooth, ( some ridged) but there appears to be mussels and/ or oysters too. The geological age of the region is Quartenary, but I heard to not rely on that 100% because older strata can be found in arroyos, weathered cliffs, etc. The fossils are pretty weathered. This video is crucial for me to figure out more! I am organizing my collection, and want to label things beyond the generic terms of " snail" " clam" and such.

Thank you for uploading this video - jampacked with information! I'll watch this in two sessions cause going through all those coils in one session would just make me dizzy. 🙂

Isn't it curious how organisms evolve without a plan and build themselves up from a single cell? It's so similar to how ai responds to a prompt and builds itself up into a work of art.
