I resonate with this so much. As a child I tried for dance lessons and was pulled aside by the teacher and advised that I 'just didn't have the body type' and encourage to quit. I did and I always regretted it and how it made me feel, like I wasn't qualified to enjoy something just because I matured faster, because I wasn't as flexible yet, because I wasn't the picture image of a dancer. I was 10. This woman is incredibly brave and I hope her song reaches out and touches other children and people and gives them the knowledge that actually, that teacher is wrong, those girls are wrong, your peers are wrong. There is nothing wrong with you.

I love this song. We're doing this song for our lyrical dance for recital for this Saturday. This song reminds me of my life and how I am 'different' from my old classmates (let's say because I'm going to another high school). I mean, I'm 14 and it was an appropriate song to have for our ages. (My dance class has kids who are going to 8th grade, me going to 9th, and one who's 17). Like, we all can relate to this song and explains what we've all been through before. And it just sums up everything.

I am an American and I am ur fan 4 sure, you have an awesome voice. I LOVE ABBA; my fav band of the 1970s and for the rest of my life. I also loved Roxanne in the 1980s. I was bullied when I was a kid, boys get it more physically than girls but the pain is probably the same. The lyrics really hit the pain nerve and brought forward old bad memories, I though I had left this behind decades ago but somehow it is still there buried in the mind. Everyone thinks they are special and that's true. But freaks are the most noticeable special people. We see the world in other eyes. Our mouth may be closed.
