So for the non Swedes watching this: This song, Sverige (Sweden), by the Swedish band Kent has become a very well known song in Sweden about early 21st century Swedish foreign policy. The song is a commentary to things very Swedish: love, secularism, peace, midsummer, "lagom", openness. It is often sung at fund raisers and the chorus delivers the main message "Welcome, welcome here. Whoever you are, wherever you are."

I was looking at refugee statistics recently and when I saw 20% of Sweden is made up of recent refugees, I was floored. It's wonderful to be open, but when you welcome that many people from cultures that are similar to each other but different from yours, it leads to huge problems. Sweden seems so wonderful. I am so sad it is struggling in that way.
