You really might want to grab 'Spiders' music video - it is the song from their debut album. All the others that you have reacted to up to this point are from their second one called 'Toxicity'. There are loads of gems on their next ones believe me, they were only getting better and better. Start checking out their 'Steal This Album' stuff that followed 'Toxicity'. 'Innervision', 'BOOM!', 'Nuguns', 'Mr. Jack', 'I-E-A-I-A-I-O', 'Highway Song', 'Ego Brain' etc...

This music feels so much like the vibe of The Matrix movies. Can't see one without thinking of the other. RATM does also.(Rage Against the Machine) And, they do the closing banger for one of them. THAT'S who you should hear soon! Esp while you're still jamming on SOAD. Ooh... Tom Morello from RATM, was in a band with Chris Cornell from Soundgarden ... AUDIOSLAVE. And it's my fave of Chris' groups. Coz of Tom, actually. (I love watching you first experience these sounds.)

I love the way Serj’s voice is so unique and for me, it has that tremolo, a very quick vibrato that combined with bright and nasal sounds brings me the feeling of oriental singing or something arabic, maybe because of they’re backgroung. I just remembered the day i’ve listened on MTV for the first time but by that time we couldn’t rewind haha we had to wait until it was played again but man, what a vibe people used to create😍
@dmwalker248 ай бұрын
SOAD is quite often spectacular at smacking the audience in the face. I love this one, because it has a bit more sophistication in how it delivers the punch. I really enjoy the themes about fame, hero-worship, and group-think as well. Of course a lot of their stuff is full of commentary on the ills of modern society.

I love your reactions- I couldn’t wrap my head around why people like reactions, but I think I‘ve finally grasped the reason why they grew on me while watching you: it‘s a mixture between seeing a live band on stage and hearing an amazing song for the first time. Collectively we share your emotions and get a glimpse of the rush back, at discovering the song for the first time again. It must be obvious to most, but I feel I am just now able to but it into words. Thank you for that- is lovely to see the sparkle and joy in songs I have loved for decades! 🎉

The first time I heard this, my late husband and I were listening to whatever that rock station was in Canton OH, when this record first came out. The DJ was outside smoking a jo9int (yes, you read that right) and accidentally let the song play including the extension at the end that never made it to the radio version. We went out and got that record and SOAD were a daily part of our lives until his death. You've been batting 1.000 lately, dude! (Ask an American) Keep up the good work!!
