The structure was chaotic just like the life of the singer. He keeps saying, life's been good to him but good how. He has a mansion that he's never seen, a mazzerati that he can't drive, his fans tell him he's great but he doesn't call back the people who call him, so no personal friends. He lives in hotel rooms that he trashes and lets his accountants pay for the damages. He thinks everybody else has changed but he's the same, although I doubt his old friends would agree. He has fame, money, and stuff, but he isn't really enjoying any of it.

The Roling Stones are from England and they were technically The Beatles' biggest rivals. Most often, you either like the Stones or The Beatles but you don't exactly like them both. This was out summer `66, I think. Right before everybody worth listening to went psychedelic. I'm pretty sure the song is about his love dying so, he just wants to wallow in black, now that she's dead. As most British bands in the early `60's did, they started put playing mostly blues stuff and then got more into rock. I've always considered them a flavour-of-the-day band; whatever style is popular at the moment, they become that kind of band. When psych came in big, they tried to do a psych album and it was quite amateur. Only 4 or 5 good songs on it, the rest was complete garbage. In `69 & `70, bands started getting into devil worship themes so, they did that for a while. In the mid `70's, everything was glam so, they went glam for a while. In the later `70's disco was big so, they went disco. Then punk was all the rage so, they went punk. I think the only genres they didn't copy were rap and pop princess. Give a listen to their song, "2000 Light Years From Home". Another band that started out a LOT like them was The Pretty Things. Their first 4 or 5 albums were same things the Stones were doing then, they hit solid gold with one of the best psych albums (and, the first rock opera) ever made, "S. F. Sorrow". The difference is, after that album, The Pretty Things became a prog rock band whereas, you now know what the Stones did. Stick with me, kid and I'll show you the most incredible music ever made!!

A bit after the fact, but hopefully, I’m not too late. If no one else mentioned, as a reference point, Smash(the album Come Out And Play is from) came out in 94. And the album that this is from, Americana, came out in 98. In between, in 97 Ixnay On The Hombre came out. Ok, with that sorted, to go all the way back, to their first two albums, I’d suggest “A Thousand Days” from the first album(from 1989), and “We Are One” from Ignition(second album, from 1992). Cause they always have humor in their lyrics, but after Pretty Fly, they start to lay it on a little thick, and it can get sorta cringy

Mate, love your reactions, you should look for a band called Kerrang'd, they tour the whole UK playing these types of songs and are incredible, they finished their set with Break Stuff when I saw them, the mosh pit was awesome. Go if they are coming near you somewhere, you won't regret it. 🤘

This was a massive song. Very 80s. Van Halen is the last name of 2 bothers in the band. Alex and Eddie. Van Halen had 2 different lead singers. This is David Lee Roth. The 2nd singer is Sammy Hagar. Try Dreams with Sammy on vocals. Sammy Hagar is a better singer but David Lee Roth had the bigger hits.

Santana is the name of the band but the guy on lead guitar started the band. His name is, Carlos Santana. Want a better idea of what they're like? Watch their performance at Woodstock in 1969! Especially the song, "Soul Sacrifice". This is a one-off. Rob sings with some other band but, I forget who. Carlos has been making records since 1969. It MIGHT be classed as somewhat bluesy but, it's basically Latin soul. I think it came out in the mid `90's. My neighbor used a short clip of on one of his break-in records and those were from the mid to late `90's.

I went to see this live in San Diego, California . Rory Gallager opend then Fleetwood Mack then Deep Purple. I'm 71 and have been to many many concerts and that was one I will never forget. I had been a fan of deep purple and fleetwood mac. But had never listened to rory gallager. We were standing 10 feet from the stage and rory came out and just went nuts on the guitar. And the concert never slowed down. Great great concert. You would like rory galleger. By the way your channel is very good and your reactions are a joy to watch.

Rolling Stones were 'the rebels' and the Beatles were the 'good boys'! Watch documentary "Gimme Shelter"! It was a live concert with Hells Angels as the security details and see why they were outlawed in California, H.A., that is! Best of Stones comprises this list: "Satisfaction", "Sympathy for the Devil", "Jumping Jack Flash", "Gimmie Shelter", "Brown Sugar", "Beast of Burden", "Angie", "Under my thumb"...

Are you living inside a thermo? Who doesn't know Santana, he's been rocking with the best since the 60's, and with this song and the entire album name "Supernatural" won a record of 11 music Grammys on a single night, tying it with the king of pop Michael Jackson, and this song is included on that album. A living Legend.

Honestly, Death Magnetic this album, and the newest one, 72 seasons, are real returns to form, they'll never sound like they did for the first five albums, but these newer albums are reminiscent of that era.
