All i remember was the first thing your mom said at barstool was all she wanted were grandkids from alex and graham. Instead she got two podcasts. I feel so bad her. Stay strong Kim

at first it was a meme. at this point, it's incredibly strange to base your entire life off a divorce.

As someone from a family that doesn’t talk about anything, It was so refreshing to hear everyone’s honest thoughts. This is the kind of openness you need to process and move on! Really good episode

A counselor helping me through my break up...one after 15 years and (3) children, explained how divorce IS a death...the death of a dream. The dream of a life that was not going to be...no matter the history, nor the promises...or even the deep shared love. That dream of that life was in fact dead. She helped me grieve the way you would after the death of something that complex and profound...and one that touched so many others who also had to mourn the death of their dreams as well. Alex's parents were farther behind on grieving the loss of the dream they had for Alex and Graham because they were out of the break up loop...but they are catching up. Everybody grieves at their own pace and in their own unique way.

I had a girlfriend once a complete nympho so I see it as very normal for Women to hop from bed to bed with no problem. She finally got married had a child then left the husband, probably others on the side while he was out.

My Dad is the same way. I can tell him things and he won’t repeat them to my Mom when I ask him not to. It’s nice to have someone in your life like that. When I went through my divorce I took a long time to tell my Mom it felt like a total failure.

Wow, listening to Kim correct every single thing someone said is very telling. Alex is her Mother just younger. I'm not saying that is a bad thing but they are exactly a like. The Dad is still trying to solve all of Alexs problems at 30 years old. He actually says, You are young. She is a 30 year old woman who has made her mistakes. I have never seen two more controlling woman in my life. For the two of them to sit on the sofa and argue about the way Alex removed Grams stuff was crazy. I'd hate to argue and be a right fighter over every single thing. Good luck to all.

I picked up on similar dynamics - protective father, and Kim came across more critical than I realized from the little we saw of her on barstool content over the years

Obviously they have enabled their daughter's behavior her whole life and they are continuing to do so. The only normal one in the family seems to be the son.

Episode 6: what does a random worker at Home Depot think to my divorce? I’ve actually twigged what this is all about… it’s pay back to the billionaire (and his family) for not taking care of her financially. If they’d given her few million $ and an NDA she’d still be barstool taking about dinosaurs. But cuz they made her pay the billionaire, this is her payback, and it’s never ending 😴

I am sure the Bennetts don't spend a second of their time thinking about Alex and her parents - the mega-rich just move on.
@OUSS2004_5 ай бұрын
This poor me tour is getting embarrassing. She married a billionaire and wanted to play “influencer” which I’m sure he giggled at and said let’s get a real career. She said she got “screwed financially” because he refused to give her money. Beta male dad sends her on a retreat for being sad that she wanted a divorce and when the dust settles…. She’s currently latched onto another rich man 😂😂😂

Miss seeing Kontent Kim! I’m glad you have your own podcast. I used to follow Meangirl but honestly listening to Jordyn is insufferable. Always thought she doesn’t add much. But happy to see you have your own now. I enjoy listening to just you!

To be a woman, post young adulthood, and to be able to openly work on your relationship with your parents, is really a blessing. It’s refreshing to hear of the tough stuff you’ve been through with the love and support of your kind-hearted parents. Lot of hate in the comments. 😢

I think you are really strong Alex. I can see how the culture in Oklahoma is more against divorce. I think you should be proud of yourself for doing what was right for you even though it was hard! So much more makes sense watching the podcast, really enjoying it.
