Hatfield was a countertenor, contra tenor. Equivalent to a female mezzo-soprano or contralto. He had like a 4 octave range. Very few men can accomplish that. The way he makes it looks so easy is even more amazing. ;o)

Adorable, handsome, charming and talented Bobby never fails to disappoint. This video version is even better than the studio track which charted twice. Bobby's soulful spin on his delivery was no doubt the reason they were dubbed 'blue eyed' soul. He and Bill Medley had a combo hard to duplicate. Check out some of Bobby's solo's like My Prayer and Summertime to name a few. RIP: Bobby Hatfield you are missed.

OMG, the late Bobby Hatfield! I was 15 yrs old when I watched him sing this beautiful song on the Andy Williams show. I am dating myself but at 74 years I never get tired listening to him sing this beautiful song. RIP Bobby Hatfield! We miss hearing your beautiful voice. ❤️ ❤️❤️❤️

Just saw the Righteous Bros last year with the replacement. Bill Medley can still hit all the notes but to me the highlight of the show was Bill singing with his daughter. She is a talent by herself.

Hi Tehillah. This is the first time I've ever seen you react to a wonderful singer. So I thought "what a great time to drop a gift on this lovely woman". I'll tell you about a Canadian singer that almost nobody knows about these days. He was just fantastic, but was too quickly forgotten because he just never seemed to be pushy about driving his career. He should have... what a voice. I looked a long way down your video list but did not see Tom Jones. Do yourselves a favour and review some Tom Jones songs. Start with his stuff from the 1960s and carry on from there. He has sung with most of the greatest singers both on record and privately just for fun. He was so popular with the ladies some of them threw their knickers at him on stage. He still sings today and has lost none of his powerful voice he has famously broken microphones with. He is now a knight so is called Sir Tom Jones. He is a judge and mentor on the UK version of the Voice.
