I really am so blown away at how much Abi and Obed have improved with expression under your care that is just amazing. It really makes me think of how many neurodiverse kids and people out there were given up on before they really had a chance.

Thank you! We can NEVER give up on these kids! Abi started talking around age 7. If Obed is 15, then it's 15. I think between the music therapy and constant interaction with siblings is what is doing it! In Abis case, we were stuck in a hotel room for 2 months waiting to move into our house. Total immersion! Our decision to homeschool Obed is proving to be a good one! 😊❤❤❤

I think he actually said Norway! He was hearing it said over and over a few times, so he learned to say it! Makes me wonder, if while he’s laying in bed if he had a recording to listen of the same words used, that he’d learn more vocabulary? Or even recordings of simple songs that use the same words used frequently, like Jesus loves me? Btw tell the kids I said “Merry Christmas in July,” was wonderful gifts. I hope we get to see the kids play the beautiful drum, it was amazing!

Fathering Autism has been able to get backwards pajamas for their daughter, Abbie. Check with them. Also, one day at Target they were able to get some zip up pajamas and they work to be just worn backwards. The flap across the zipper at the top helps keep the zipper zipped and they also use the vest on her as well. I think they have to put the vest on backwards too. They order the pajamas that are made to be worn backwards from a company online.

6:00 y’all’s is a little more fancy but I got one by Hamilton beach that does seven 🥚 at a time. I love it! 8:00 that’s Zubat (Zubatto in Japanese) and he is a blind Pokémon that uses echolocation 🙃 12:30 it either looks like it says WeeeeeeeekEND (weekend) or the sounds she makes when she chants. 14:50 OH MY STORMS THOSE SOUND DELICIOUS!! 16:00 you could let them feel it to see 🙂 30:00 I love that sound! Hi Miss Karen, thank you for making this video. I just wanted to say that your confession is totally understandable, and I’m definitely not mad at you. I don’t really know of anyone who would be mad at you because you’re impossible to get mad at. Also, you look really young in this video. I’m glad that you got a lot of fun stuff in the mail. Everybody understands why you do things the way you do, so you don’t have to apologize to us. You may, however, have to apologize to your kids for eating the chocolate, but I think they’ll understand. Everyone needs a little sweet in their lives. The egg cooker Hannah got reminds me of the rice cooker we have. I think that’s something my brother would like. I’m personally not a big fan of coffee, but everybody can understand the usefulness of coffee pots. Coffee makes a lot of people a lot less grumpy in the morning, and I know how much she loves coffee. I hope that she likes the coffee pot. We have a coffee maker and an electric teapot. The electric teapot we have is a lot easier then our old tea kettle. Our first electric teapot caught on fire, but this one hasn’t. We just replaced our coffee maker. I love chocolates. I like Hershey‘s, but I also like Lint and other chocolates. I love truffles. I love new clothes and especially shirts. My sister loves T-shirts. The cookies remind me a lot of some of the cookies that are in Korean snack boxes. I really like getting those, and the cookies in them are so good. I’ve never tried the cookies you got, but they look really good. The drumb sounds very pretty. I bet your music therapist will have a lot of fun teaching your kids how to play it, and I bet that your kids will have a lot of fun, too. It’s very nice for the person to send all of those books and instructions with it. I like music. Hannah sings really well. I like to sing, too. I like to sing songs in different languages, especially in Korean. I like songs from lots of different genres. My little brother likes it when I sing Korean songs to him, and he copies me. It’s honestly kind of funny. I’m glad that you got so many nice things. I’m glad that your family had fun opening them. I just want you to know that you don’t have to feel badly for doing what’s best for your family. Everybody understands that. There’s no need to feel badly for doing something if it’s good for your family. I hope that you have a great rest of the summer. Here's some content ideas I would love to see from y'all! - house tour with any modifications that are used to help the kids - a "shop with me" video where you go through your Amazon wish list and explain what and why you want the items - individual introduction videos of each of the family members (can be shorter videos) - day in the life videos with whoever wants to do it (going to work with Hannah, etc.) - videos with the kids about what they liked and what helped them learn growing up - more baking videos with the kids - how the kids help around the house (IE walking the dog, helping their siblings, etc.) - shorter videos, sometimes I don't have time to sit down for a half hour vlog. Even 5-10 minute videos of just short events during the day would be fun!
