I am amazed at how patient and caring you are. Growing up in a household where my mother was not patient with us, and there was only 2 of us, it is so refreshing to see patience and how loving and caring you are to your children. Thank you for giving me that comfort!

I completely agree!! Especially in the beginning where one of the children needed their nose wiped, my mom would’ve said something along the lines of “You can do that yourself, I’m not your slave”. Seeing how she handled the situation was so refreshing to see, it felt comforting

Best piece of advise I ever got was from a friend's father - he was a retired pediatrician - he said, NO doctor spends as much time with your child as YOU do, if you think there's an issue then chances are there IS - you sometimes have to PUSH the doctor into looking. This is how we found my oldest son's pnuemonia, my oldest daughter's dyslexia, and my youngest daughter's wheat sensitivity. If you think its more than just a cold, chances are it is.

Omg you made me think of something! In Feb of 2020 before the beginning of the big sick, my son and I got real sick and I got diagnosed with bronchitis but my son is a different story. My husband and I noticed our son son wasn't doing well at all with fever, congestion in the nose and chest so we took him to the doctor and she said it was just a cold and to not worry (basically being a dismissive wench), ya no he got a bit worse and we called her back and fought with her to get a chest xray for him. It turns out that he had pneumonia in his left lung and the doctor said OH YOU WERE RIGHT HE IS REALLY SICK (I think my husband had a few colorful words with her). After a week he was on the mend. I haven't taken him back to that doctor since that visit (the pandemic hit my town hard from March 2020 to june or july of 2021 so he was remote part of his 2nd grade year and his entire third grade year. We're getting a new doctor before his fifth grade year starts.

Yes, I learned it from my dad when I was constantly sick as a child he would be adamant about running whatever test needed. Didn't care what it took. And he was right everytime, I had an extremely weak immune system and he knew me best. Sure helped he was some muscular built Polynesian man, lol.

I hear my husband in my mind saying, Why don’t you get the kids to help you? I just feel like I can get it done faster and be done with it. But I’ve only got 2! I just want to jump in and help this mom! My kids are definitely old enough to help more and learn in the process but it’s sooo hard for me to just not do it myself! Lol But seeing someone else shoulder it alone makes me reconsider. I get tired of hearing my husband say it but now I get it. She’s a super mom for sure! A well oiled machine! 🙌

I've made them in the oven, and they're awesome! You can make different flavors in one pan, like 1/3 blueberry, 1/3 strawberry, and 1/3 chocolate chip.

Your videos are great! Mama had 5 kids. We did NOT have individual choices of what we ate in the '50's & 60's. Period. Money was tight so we ate what was given to us and we were happy to get it. Amazingly, I have actually survived to the age of 70!😁

I started making pancakes on cookie pans when my 4 kids were growing up. I would make enough for everyone to eat around 3 times a week. Also breakfast soft tacos in big batches. My kids & grandkids love them!

For the different sandwiches, it might make your routine easier if you could make a chart of their name and preference on a sheet of paper so that it's easier to keep it all straight while making different kinds of sandwiches.
