Another comment so forgive me, I am 78 and I still do all of my house work , yard work 1/2 acre... I cook meals every day for a semi invalid husband. I've always loved my chores and doing for family for the holidays. I'm second of eight children. Life hasn't been easy but the daily regimen is what I do. Doesn't matter if it is hard it is my life . We moved into our home we built from the ground up in 1982 unfinished with years ahead of us getting it liveable. But every morning since I wake up to the most wonderful house I could ever have imagined would be mine to spend my life I . Every inch I made it so. The on,y difference is I don't have to go behind any one I just had to go forward. ( you are amazing for your insight) we bought pine boards from an old plantation for our flooring , oak mantles for the fireplaces and collections to make it a pure . Now in the days where everyone wants "new this house will throw out anything that comes in that is new or doesn't "belong". So now I don't even try . Filled with the collections of the Day . Sorry this is too long so will close. Please know you are admired tremendously without reservations from a woman who has been ther.

Ruthie some times after I come home from work the last thing I want to do is cook and clean.How do I change my way of thinking .I end up cooking but not because I want to. Because then you have to clean up the kitchen wash the dishes. And then when I am off of work I still dont want to do it because I think well today is my off day I dont feel like doing anything.I enjoy that my children love everything I make and that I am doing something to nurish them. I am divorced and sometimes it feels to much that I am resposible for everything.Thanks

That’s when I discovered gardening. The garden became my sanctuary. Seeing these special moments with your kids really bring back so many memories for me. Your are so intentional with everything you do. I really admire you and the home you are creating for your sweet family. Keep up the good work!

my mom chose to be a stay at home mom but she never really embraced the role of a homemaker. It's nice to see a good example of someone who takes it seriously, their role as a mother and manager of the household. Even though I am choosing to work outside of the home I still look to homemakers for a strong example for all the things that still matter

@rainepanda

@@abrilfranco6768 my mom has multiple undiagnosed issues that require a lot of patience. She's like an 18 yr old that never grew up. She always needs to be validated and have everyone be amazed by her. She may have borderline personality disorder. She never took full responsibility of being a parent and didn't want to be around us after we reached the "annoying" ages. She doesn't have contact with my 2 younger sisters. It was hard to grow up without a proper mother but I will work to be a good mother cause children deserve it no matter what.

BUT we also had a library of a couple thousand books in addition to my own "children's" library with science, history and other non-fiction. We had a Brittanica and I used to grab a volume and just read at random about all sorts of things and people. We had all the classics too. Some beautifully illustrated. A house full of children, out on a homestead, with a lovely garden and wonderful animals... and a home that looks truly loved. Cooking and baking and working from home, homeschooling, and homemaking. You have the best life ever!! I truly hope to have that same life one of these days.

Thank you for sharing. I am a Zen Buddhist and cleaning, cooking, homemaking, is all considered to be noble, sacred tasks, if we look at them that way instead of rushing through everything. I too love homemaking, taking care of my family, gardening, and homeschooling my dear children also.

I just found your channel, and I am SO glad I did. My oh my, do you make me look at homemaking in a brand new light. I'm saving this video, to watch on the days that I get down or frustrated. I love the simpleness of your life, and the beauty. Thank you so much, for the little glimpse and for sharing what you do. I love baking, cooking, homeschooling. But the cleaning, and mundane things can get very old after awhile. So this just lifted my spirits. God bless!! - Raylynn ❤️

I am almost crying this is just so beautiful. This is what I’ve always dreamed of having but with only 2 (ages 2 and under) I’m not managing well. What a beautiful family you have and such patience. I’m not sure I would have handled milk in my piano with such grace.

Thanks for sharing a day in your life with your lovely family. It was relaxing just listening to you explain things. Off to hang the washing now. Keeping a home fresh, warm and welcoming takes care, love and effort and not everyone is able to do that . Those of us who do should take value in our abilities. Thanks for highlighting that. Blessings to you.

This is beyond beautiful and comforting a family that eats together and prays together will stay together. When I was a little girl I always imagined my adult/mom life like this and even though I been married for 25 years with my husband and we have 4 beautiful girls God had other plans in my life.

This vid made me exhausted, but that's o.k., because it's around midnight, lol!😄👍😄 I could never live as you do, but that's more than o.k.!!! My years have taught me that "different strokes for different folks", is the only way to true happiness. Moms need to "do you", in the way that makes them feel the best. Nobody else's expectations, standards, or measurements-just your own. The smiles come easy when you walk your own path, while genuinely smiling and waving to all of the other women that you see, walking their own paths, on the stroll of life!!!🤗💖👍

U are such an inspiration! I am at home with three children all teens and I care for a 2 year old daily. I live with Fibromyalgia and severe chronic fatigue syndrome. When I watch your channel it makes me want to get off the couch or in my case bed and go go go. I have a Wally too and love it! It’s truly a huge help. My teens are not so helpful but, I have let it be that way always. They do work and go to school and are all doing well so I am happy to do the chores and cook and clean. It’s not easy but, I do love it when I can and feel good although not often. Love your content and your homemaking skills are amazing ! Thanks for being an inspiration
