Maybe the community will realize that criminal activity is wrong? Assume the car was stolen?, assume there were guns in the car possibly? Police aren't very forthcoming

Kids being bad kids. Dont.make excuses. This is a sad situation that was 100% avoidable. Choices were made, consequences happened. When the consequences are bad, look to the choice makers who created the problem in the first place. Not the first, nor will it be the last time dumb choices were made. Sad as it is the reality must be accepted for anything to change.
