The thing I like most about this set so far is that it seems like its gonna have a touch more skill than normal. For example, do I add a creature to the board or transform. Do I attack my opponent's life total or the battle I played. Just seems like it will be a touch more interesting to solve the play line puzzles.

I have a pretty cool Orzhov deck that wouldn't mind Invasion of New Capenna. I would remove the Morbid Opportunists, Sigardian Savior, or a few removal spells. If you remove the removal spells, put them in the sideboard replacing Elspeth and No One Left Behind. Most of the creatures are humans or soldiers except for the Spirited Companions. The deck has 2 mythics (which should be removed) and 12 rares minus lands which are up to you, just make sure you have enough white for Adeline and Kayla's Reconstruction. Also Overwhelming Remorse looks bad, but even if it cost 4 mana to exile at instant speed feels good against Sheoldred, and Kayla's Reconstruction has barely wiffed on me for 5-6 mana. I think you might be under valuing urabrask quite a bit. The line can be like expedite, use the floating red for strike it rich, use the floating red for shock, use the floating red for transform. You only need one red mana and some one drop instant/sorceries to flip him. Then you get to recast instants/sorceries out of any graveyard on his 3 with him flipped back over to effectively reduce the cost of every spell by getting refunded a red.

My favorite deck that I've ever played was a Bant enchantress deck from when Theros Beyond Death was the newest set in standard with Setessan Champion, Eutropia the Twice-Favored, & Protean Thaumaturge as wincons. Invasion of Theros gave me those nostalgic "Oh man, this is gonna be fun," feels immediately.

Urabrask is a beast, spellslinger on standard can be massive. Just play with fire and similars, and suddenly you have a repeatable sweeper while replaying spells. I only want to point out people better add blue to the strategy, cause the ammount of removal the guy is gonna lure is massive.

Rona is worded in a way that allows you to also nuke it to cheat your hand into play. It seems easy to make it a wincon and you can even play a zero sum game with 1 or 2 tassa oracles and a single copy of it as a curve topper in a number of formats.

I just love that Urabrask will deal 6 damage just from flipping it, then next turn it gets you 3 treasures. On your third turn you have set up a 2 turn cycle since he will flip twice on t3.

i think the wording on Corruption of Towashi is so that you can choose not to draw the card the first time and the ability will continue to trigger until you do choose to draw a card.

Djeru and Hazoret is very intriguing to me both as a faithful Boros Mage and as a fan of Legend synergies. I'm probably going to try it out in my Cadric deck in the 99. Play it and copy it, dig 6 cards deep with the token, possibly 12 cards deep if you're heckbent, grab two things for free, possibly copy them too depending how the mana looks... It's slightly Magical Christmas Land but in the right circumstances that sounds like a huge swing, could be REALLY powerful. They will probably become a popular Boros commander in their own right. And if you want to put a "Legends Matter" spin on an Isshin build, this works with that too as an attack trigger. Also good redundancy for the 5C Jodah deck, helps you to dig for Jodah if you can't find him, and if he is in play you still get the Cascade trigger because it's casting the card you find. Urabrask seems like an auto-include in a Veyran, Voice of Duality deck. She already uses Birgi and Storm-Kiln Artist to provide enough mana to chain spells together and pop off, this is much the same thing plus a pseudo-Guttersnipe effect in that deck. And the Chapter 3 backside basically giving your graveyard Flashback AND casting your opponent's stuff as well? Seems good to me. I could also see Urabrask slotting into Mechanised Warfare/City on Fire decks where you just want to ping opponent's face a bunch, though maybe that's a bit janky. Chandra Dressed to Kill to ramp into it, Koth as you said, maybe there could be something there.

I think Urbrask can be an absolute game ender if played on turn 5 or 4 with like a treasure token and then 3 1 cost burn spells. It wouldn't deny the summoning sickness, hit for x damage + 3 to opponent, then do 3 to everything (possible boardwipe) accumulating at least 6 damage to the opponent without even considering if the burn spells themselves are targeting the opponent (which could be 3x2 so a total of 12 damage). I think that makes it incredible, and if you get to the end portion of the saga, you should be able to burn them to death on turn 6-7 if they're not already dead. Only problem with it is that it requires multiple cards in hand, and that can be problematic for red.

Just wanna say Rona doesn't specify the source of that damage has to be an opponent. You can ping your own transformed Rona with small burn spells or something and in turn get to randomly play a free thing from your hand. I could see this especially in Commander where you have access to all the Tims throughout magic history :O Tap a creature to deal one damage to Rona and then play a random free thing from your hand??? Sounds good to me lol

So unless they print a bonkers set with crazy powerful cards, the established engines won't get much affected. This set has some great support cards though. And with Battles, it's difficult to predict how the gameplay will be affected if at all.

Rona is far worse than a regular Obliterator. With the regular Obliterator you could redirect its controller's damage onto it, forcing them to sacrifice permanents. If you do that with Rona, that just puts their stuff into play for free. You could play Rona with Pestilence in play, and you can put cards onto the battlefield for B.
