This daughter surprised her mum with a teddy bear that had a sound box inserted with a voice recording of her late dad talking. Jamie Nowacki, 44, a teacher from Toledo, Ohio, US, wanted her mum, Kris Tierney, to have a special gift on her 46th wedding anniversary, the first one since her husband sadly passed away. Jamie’s father would always give his wife flowers, so Jamie followed suit and took a bouquet of flowers to her house. However, the most special gift was a teddy bear which Jamie had a sound box placed inside, so that when pressed it would play an audio recording of her late father saying, ‘love you’. The audio recording was from a voicemail which they cut down to use as a shorter soundbite.

While I completely appreciate the sentiment behind this gift, I'm conflicted about whether it's a good idea. It could create an unhealthy attachment to an object, making it even harder to let the deceased loved one go. What happens if the bear breaks or gets lost? It would be like losing them all over again-just my thoughts.
