Hi Lizzie, I'm really enjoying your videos. I just returned from Guangzhou and that was an amazing city with the fourth busiest metro system in the world(approx. 3.3 billion passengers per annum). The stations and trains there are so clean and efficient. China is an incredibly modern country that is the envy of the rest of the world. No wonder they try to deter their people from going there to see the country. Keep up the great work. PS I'm South African living in Australia.

I really like your videos and I feel happy for you and your mom! Here’s something I need to explain about Chinese people speak little English, just in case anyone is wondering: China is not an English speaking country. English is only a tool for us to communicate with other people in the world. We learn it from elementary school all the way to university. Younger people definitely have better English skill. However, we don’t have the environment to use this language very often in China. It is great if a Chinese can speak English, but it’s totally ok if they don’t speak English at all. For people who want to live or is living in China, learning Chinese is gonna make your life easier as China has no interest in adding any other languages to the official language list in the visible future.

Happy to see people enjoy the life in China, i was living in China for 1 year but due minor injury i had, i returned to my home country because i didnt had social security, while life is really good and people are very nice, its still a very problematic place for foreigners to actually work legally, atleast in my case, even im married to a chinese person, it actually just guarantee your stay in China, not the legal work, so working in china on family residence still makes you violate the law which is bad, by the way Lizzy your videos are great keep doing a good job.

12:29 Your mom said 50,000 is actually more correct than 39,000. The real number is 45,000....China just added few thousand last years. The goal is 70,000 by 2030s. I don't think we're going to see 1000 km/h trains in another 30 years, but China definitely working on the 600 km/h ones and will be in service by the 2030s.
