Well said! threatening the flight attendant was just too much for me. I'm a young mother also and I'm always nervous that my baby will disturb someone. I always do my best to keep him calm but in the end babies cry it's part of being a baby! The baby has just as much right to be on the plane as anyone else.

That's my exact thought. If she didn't say that id say she shouldn't loose her job. But when she treats people like shit who are just doing their job... she should learn what it feels like to loose her job.

I traveled a lot during my career - I can think of at least twice when I helped a young mother with her child - it was my honor. One I remember had a military husband deployed, serving our country. Those adults who don’t realize how stressful it can be - especially knowing little one’s can feel ear pain with changing cabin pressure + change in meal & nap times.👶🏻

@Sarah When someone jumps straight to "you may not have a job tomorrow" is good sign that she's is *exactly that person.* Superior until someone one ups them and then all of a sudden they are all forgiving...no, you can't do that. Why couldn't she have just went to the flight attendant and asked nicely to move without the young mother knowing?
@hd-xc2lz3 жыл бұрын
@Sarah SO well said, Sarah. Well done.
@hd-xc2lz3 жыл бұрын
@Sarah You're welcome. I'd hoped since the young mom regretted posting the video that commenters might be reflective, even regret the scold-a-thon that is the norm on Yahoo comment boards. But it is not to be.
@mlegrande90373 жыл бұрын
@Sarah You are trying to defend the person in this video that obviously is not a very nice person! Then you turn around and attack the first person to disagree with you which is ironic because you just said "People get an ego boost out of scolding individuals..." which appears to be what you're doing! You want your side to be heard, but you can only see your side. The consensus is this woman went straight to who she knew and threatened the flight attendant's livelihood. People don't like that. Most people do not threaten people's job (that is not having a bad day nor making a mistake). I don't see you showing any sympathy towards this mother that was obviously stressed being on a flight with her young child, nor do I see you defending the flight attendant who was just doing her job. The most ironic thing about these comments flying back and forth between the two of you is your acting like you are the nice guy in this scenario, but you Are Not Coming Across That Way! At least the other guy was mostly civil and wasn't trying to be someone he's not, you just went to the meanest corner of your brain in retaliation while still playing the "I'm the nice guy" card! I'm sick to death of PEOPLE LIKE YOU stomping your feet because someone doesn't agree with your opinion! If you had just ignored the first comment they made, your comment would have held a little more value. Guarantee you, they will keep coming back at you every time you make a snide, albeit, very feeble retort.
@mlegrande90373 жыл бұрын
@@hd-xc2lz Seriously? At least pick someone worthy of your admiration! Sarah is clearly mean spirited if you don't agree with her point of view. I get what you mean about the scold-a-thon though, however, sometimes people need a wake-up call and the woman in this video surely did!

It's honestly priceless how quickly she went from "well you might not have a job tomorrow" to "no I can't leave the plane, please!", literally not even 30 seconds. Flight attendants #1 job is safety, not serving drinks or kissing passengers egos/attitudes. Rudeness can turn dangerous mid-flight. The state code of conduct handbook and its policy and procedural manual determine whether or not this woman keeps her job. Same with most jobs. All of "we royals" might benefit from this viral video reminder.

It was threatening the flight attendant that got her removed from the airplane. I know the mom who posted the video regrets doing so, but unless people have consequences for their actions nobody will ever change. No sympathy. I travel for work and have done so for 20 years. You do not give lip to the flight attendants. I have had exactly ONE experience where the flight attendant was what I considered rude and out of line. That is after countless hundreds of flights. Even that one time I simply did not argue with her as they have overwhelming power to bounce you from the flight. At the same time I have had more experiences than I can count where passengers were out of line with flight attendants. That puts the one bad experience I had in perspective.

If a person is so dang allergic to children that they will have a full blown adult-tantrum, its as simple as calling the airline or noting during your booking that you can't sit beside an infant or child due to so and so reasons. So no, no benefit of the doubt from me.

Plus when she asked Tabitha (the stewardess her name) and said nice to meet you but you might not have a job tomorrow. That is an asinine move. Idk, I feel like there was no excuse for her to act like that. If she knows she can't stand the sound of babies and she's going to be flying then she should always have ear plugs or noise canceling headphones with her. Plus it was really messed up how she threatened the flight attendants job. I guess she didn't have the pull she thought though since instead she might lose hers. She should've been nice from the beginning, not only pretend to be nice once she heard the flight attendant say she wanted her off of the plane. Hopefully she learns a lesson from all of this whether she loses her job or not.
