I can’t help but feel like hospitals should enforce mandatory DNA tests before allowing someone to leave with a baby, to prevent a kidnapping or an accidental swap. If the DNA doesn’t match, then either a doctor or one of the biological parents could explain the situation. In that case, it would most likely be that the parents decided to give the child up for adoption.

@cute2neko that isn't a matter of control. It could be some sort of instantaneous test done right there at the entrance (once those exist, of course). The fact that not only she is hurtful to her biological daughter, but also disrespecting her own mother who had issues clearly shows that she is such a narcissist. Just because children are different, whether they have a disability, special needs, blind or dyslexic, doesn't make them worthless; every child deserves love from family no matter what. I honestly see the potential of seeing this video as a 1 hour or a 2 hour movie to truly provide more specific details and more background story and more dialogue exchange with the father explaining to Pamela how her pendant is the same with his daughter Olivia pendant. I would definitely love to see an extended version of this because they could be more storytelling to tell here. Amazing video with a good message.

@ hannah krug Yes! While I agree that raising a physically or mentally disabled child isn’t ideal or easy all the time (medical bills, support, etc), it’s those kids who need the love and support of their parents the most. It’s hard enough when they attend school and hardly make friends and struggle harder than their peers or going out in public and feel like they’re being judged and stared at. But being abandoned by parents……the very same people who should love them unconditionally, is way worse.

@jackstuarts423 I agree with this. I’m not excusing Roses actions at all. But it’s not ideal to put that responsibility entirely on a kid whose suppose to be in school and having a real childhood. Did Marcus's ex-wife seriously not think the truth would come out eventually? If they live in the same town, it was inevitable that Marcus or Pamela would have seen their biological daughter and started looking. Also, Olivias' physical features would have become to apparent that, if someone questioned them when they were teens, they would've sought the truth themselves. Rose hurt everyone; her mother by basically cutting her out of her life, Marcus by lying to him for years, Pamela by stealing her child and both of the girls(but especially her biological daughter because she didn't want to have a child whose blind).

Any Dads, take notes When I was born, if doctors ever had to do something outside of the room, my dad wouldn’t let them unless he could follow them and watch what they were doing to me. The point is, it’s up to the dad to keep and eye on their child after birth. If you just keep an eye out, you can stop a stranger (or even your own partner) from switching your baby.

As someone who almost got swapped at the hospital when I was born, I think your father totally did the right thing! 👍 Some people may consider it controlling or paranoid, but considering things like in this story also happen in real life, it is quite understandable! And only wanting to keep an eye on your newborn child isn't hurting anybody anyways! Is it possible though for the fathers/people close to the parents to actually be present at all times when the child needs to be taken away for checkups and everything? Because if I'll ever have kids, I would want someone to be able to make sure my child will be okay and returned to me!
@farrahjordan1396 Жыл бұрын
@@Aruna_Shadows yes, it is possible for a family member to be with the baby at all times. I know because I’m perfectly healthy. If you say that you want someone with your baby, then doctors should be okay with that. And think about it. If doctors are hesitant to let a family member watch the baby, then they’re probably trying to do something they shouldn’t be doing. From my perspective it’s “if I can’t witness what you’re about to do to my baby, then it must not be that important.” As you said, there’s nothing wrong with someone wanting to make sure they’re newborn is okay at all times.

I love the more mature topics and this one did hit hard. When I was a baby I was diagnosed with a condition that could leave me with a disability including blindness. I can tell that my mom was disappointed and as I grew older that she would have had a "normal" child and says, "there is always something wrong with you"

SEE? This is what I love, something you don't expect, in almost every video it's same, there's someone who's doing something wrong, has a side kick telling him to do the right thing, he will always delay it until it's time for them to realize they were doing wrong all along. In this video it's completely different and I love it! Please keep doing it like this!

That couple seemed super happy to become parents. ALL children must be loved the same,no matter their difficulties!! Love how grandma was making grandpa say "yes" to her for everything in order to keep her happy. Them meeting at the store,i could just tell that something could happen about them realising their babies had been switched.. You could get arrested for switching 2 babies at birth!? Rose seemed horrible!! How DARE she treat her own mother like that!! She deserved to get arrested!! I can just IMAGINE the pain of the 2 Olivias when they learnt they had been switched at birth😢😢😢😢😢 But happy that they both now have a friend,and a birthday twin,and also got to meet their grandma at last. And even when Rose's mum learnt about what her daughter did,I can imagine her furious reaction
