It's my favorite Dr Phil. It' was such a memorable episode. I've looked everywhere and can't find the full episode but basically this woman came on the show claiming she lost like 3 days of her life and has no idea what happened like she claimed to have amnesia and apparently left her kids in a van at a gas station and then next thing she remembered was being at the police station or something. She took a polygraph and as you see she failed. My guess from the first time I saw this was she ran off with some guy to cheat on her husband and do drugs with this guy and she didn't wanna get in trouble with her husband so she pretended to have amnesia

She met up with a dude there, figured she would mess around with him and he would bring her back. Instead he drove off before she got in or he told her to get out. That’s why Dr. Phil asked if she got embarrassed about something.

Why is it do you think that lie detectors findings are not admissible in a court of law anywhere outside the USA?
@chuchuyeah3430
@chuchuyeah3430 2 жыл бұрын
They’re hardly admissible within the US, they’re nowhere near accurate enough to be allowed as evidence.
@deannekliene2673
@deannekliene2673 2 жыл бұрын
When that law was passed they were very disputable and not very accurate. Some of the newer ones are accurate but as long as they can possibly be wrong they will not be admissible unless both parties agree which has been done. Theyre getting pretty good ..usually they are wrong due to human error, medications , questions put certain ways can cause it and some people are just not "testable": for various reasons ..Each individual is different with bodily reactions and chemistry.. environmental or developmental factors interestingly psychopaths have proven to occasionally have the ability to pass or mental illnesses whee a person is convinced of the lie. Too much for courts to dispute. ....just too many things can go wrong when it comes to convictions but If both parties agree to it along with the judge it can be done. I would t though.
@aileenmoore7503
@aileenmoore7503 2 жыл бұрын
@@deannekliene2673 they are not admissible anywhere in Europe because the information on how to pass them is easily available. Even with both parties consent, they are not considered trustworthy. It’s upsetting to think of all the people who have been branded thieves, pedophiles, liars and abusers on tv shows because of what amounts to a parlour game.

The clips used to be on KZbin but she was this straight laced Suzie homemaker and one day her vehicle was found with her little kids inside, unsupervised for a long period of time, and she is nowhere to be found. She was later found wandering around the streets, incoherent and confused. She claims she doesn't remember what happened that led to the events and even her husband said this is completely out of character for her. She isn't a druggie, wild party girl, etc. She claimed she had some sort of amnesia but doesn't remember from what. According to this polygraph she obviously knows why she ditched her kids in the car and why she was found hours later walking around seemingly drugged up but she's sticking to her story
