I've noticed this in some of your videos where you explain to us what you are eating. The macaroni you made looks delicious and you don't have to justify whether you should eat the whole bowl or not. I am just now starting to be less food-focused/less restrictive and I don't want you to feel like you have to explain why you're eating what makes you happy/full. Just an observation I mean this with ❤️

Loving your NYC content. Also I notice how mindful you are of what you say when you’re vlogging, like being transparent about your spending, noting “first world problems”, and being sensitive to other viewpoints. When I first noticed you doing this I felt like geez, what a pain for her to have to constantly monitor what she says, but the more I watch you, the more I really appreciate that you do this. Just being aware that the people watching you may have completely different views or lifestyles or opinions and you want to be mindful of that. Good on you Brooke 💕

I would love to see you find the best/unique Airbnb’s to stay in around the US. Maybe start a series on it that you post once a month. We are all trying to find a way to “travel” or have an incredible adventure. If you show the search online “tips” to find the best Airbnb, the uniqueness of the area (ie little gems), outdoor adventures you can have in the area (ie, best hiking trails, horseback riding, zip lining, kayaking, etc), preparation for the trip (ie grocery supplies, clothing, books you are taking), best restaurants that you are able to eat at within the area of the Airbnb and COVID Guidelines approved. I would love to see your mom on some of the trips too. I love the dynamic between you two ❤️❤️❤️

GIIRRRRRLLLL !!!! I have the same dj controller! I took a turntable class last spring and my teacher recommended that one to me so that’s a really good one! You’re going to love it seriously it’s so fun!! I know this is for hobby purposes, but I recommend looking into the history of hip hop/ dj because I think it’s good to know since it’s a black created art form and it honestly makes the experience sooooo much more enjoyable and meaningful. Also serato is pronounced sir-ah-toe. Please keep vlogging your process I’m excited !!

The acne from the mask is due to your detergent. Find a hypoallergenic detergent just to wash your masks. Maybe buy a small bottle of dreft. It's meant for babies sensitive skin it should help.

Hey Brooke! I feel like I have similar hair texture to you. I found that if I let my hair dry down 80% of the way and then put it in a braid or two (not French don’t worry) and let it dry the rest of the way then it comes out with amazing natural waves! And it’s super easy and won’t damage your hair with heat. I’d love to see you try it!

A v good heat protectant is hot off the press by Paul Mitchell! It’s not goopy or sticky - it’s an aerosol spray can so it doesn’t get all over your tools. Asian hair (I’m mixed) is in my experience notorious for not being able to curl/hold style and this is the only thing that helps it stay. Since it dries quickly you probably want to just lightly spritz one section at a time right before you use your heat tool. It’s also a hair spray so it’s a 2 in 1 product which my wallet likes. I think it’s a little less than 20$ at ULTA

I have similar hair to you and I love the waver! A few tips to help even more, try holding the waver vertical, not horizontal, so the waves flow more naturally. Also, as you get closer to the top of your head, don’t go all the way to the root. Sometimes I’ll even use my straighter just at the top to smooth it out. And some finishing serum instead of hairspray to help it look more shiny :)

I’m a nurse and have to double mask for around 13 hours a shift and witch hazel has been my saving grace!!!! I’m sure people will have negative views on witch hazel but I wash my face, wipe all over with witch hazel and then moisturize and it’s been keeping my maskne at a minimum! If I do have a breakout I exfoliate and then use the Mario badescu buffering lotion on the problem areas! That typically wipes out my problem areas overnight. Hopefully that works for someone
@kariellis31164 жыл бұрын
Maskne is not necessarily because it’s dirty or because of detergent because we get brand new n95’s and surgical masks every shift and I still have the same issue

I find that the best ways to prevent mask acme is to wash my cotton mask by hand with a sensitive skin hand or body soap. Also not wearing foundation tends to keep your skin clearer. If your mask gets wet, immediately change it or dry it and make sure you have a mask that you are able to breathe through freely
@TaylorWood4674 жыл бұрын
I commented on the last video and said that we have very similar hair and I recently bought a waver and love it! I use heat protectant and I hate it because it smells 😂 my hair doesn’t hold curl AT ALL. No matter what product I used, a curling iron or curling wand doesn’t work for my hair. The waver makes it look a little bit more put together.

The detergent you're using, typically doesn't come in close, continual, contact with your face. Try using a different cleaner for your mask, maybe Woolite or Dreft, hand wash and lay flat to dry. HTH

Girl you dont got to justify or listen to people's opinons regarding your hair. It is beautiful, it is luscious, it is thick and whether you straighten or curl or beachy-wave it, it is up to you. I think the 'uncombed' waves are gorgeous and its what i go for bc humidity already makes thick hair a bigger problem than it is on a nice dry day. I feel ya, u keep doing u!
