ShiftCam and Sandmarc lenses are much better (and easier to use) than the Moment lenses (too expensive, 1 inch maximum focusing distance, bayonet mount). I sold (lucky me!!) my Moment X10 macro lens and bought a Shiftcam 75mm macro lens X10 (5-10cm focus range, standard screw mount, perfect image quality). Also, Moment lenses are for iPhone users, ShiftCam and Sandmarc are for EVERYONE.

I went with the sandmarc version of these lenses. Given my ability (or lack thereof) they were less expensive but still just as sturdy. It’s fun to play around with them.

I am interested in this Moment macro lens for my iPhone 14 that I just purchased. The only thing I don't like, is that I have to purchase a special case for my phone to make it work. I currently have a nice Otter Box case that I really like. My question is, how good are the iPhone cases that you must get in order for the Moment macro lens to fit to it? Do they offer good protection for your iPhone? Thanks
@ZdenkaDarula Жыл бұрын
I have been always using Moment cases and I’ve dropped phones many times. Never had any issue. I hope that’s the answer you’re looking for.

I've been following moment lenses as well for quite some time, reading reviews and watching videos and i have to say i have been in love with them as well. can't wait to get my hands on one of these, especially the macro, the anamorphic and the tele. the ultrawide and fisheye, are not much useful for me though. splendid video as usual Zdenka. i have only recently discovered you, thanks to KZbin AI for recommending you to me. keep up the excellent work.

I also like the idea of adding Moment to my setup for iPhone 11, but it's same as buying Sony ZV1 so I don't know what to do.
@efficaciousuave3 жыл бұрын
@@ruthun I thought so too, bit I decided to go iPhone route because of these mainly. 1. 60fps 4k 2. More portable,you carry it all the time 3. Better gimbal support for making cool moves like inception 4. Being able to edit the videos 5. Waterproof for rain shots None of the above are available in a Sony zv1 or any mirror less camera for that matter and they are important for me. If they are not that important for you, the zv1 might be the better choice for you.

Thanks Zdenka. Very informative video. I have a macro lens for my iPhone 12 pro . It’s not a Moment one, it Dane with a set of cheap smart phone lenses, but I was very surprised at how close up I could get. I highly recommend using a macro with Filmic Remote and a tripod/gimbal if possible. That way you can adjust everything perfectly and eliminate vibration.

Interesting to see the "Rejection Reason" information box; noise, grain, artefacts, etc. Is there a utility online or other that can be fed images and grade them in a similar way or is it recommended to just open a stock account and see what comes back from them? If I change my processing, lighting, or equipment and settings it would be useful to know if the results meet a standard like stock photography and then proceed from there. Thanks.

Can you experiment with Canon M50 Mark II? Thanks
@ZdenkaDarula3 жыл бұрын
What do you mean exactly? 😉
@photofusionart3 жыл бұрын
@@ZdenkaDarula I mean may be more with the M50 or M50 Mark II (if u have it) rather than Sony and M6…etc. Lots of M50 users out there and many opportunities for experimentation. Example Infrared photography using filters, macro, light painting, ….etc. I suggest telling a story rather than a specific review. (The latter is plenty in KZbin). The story usually sticks better and keeps us coming back. Again my Point of View only. You’re doing great anyway. Appreciate your time on all of this.

@@ZdenkaDarula Hey, I got my macro lens but need your advice. I'm using my Smartphone + macro lens to take Macro photos. I have two options: 1-Taking RAW pictures: The phone doesn't let me use burst mode, so I have to wait 3 seconds between each shot. And 95 out of 100 photos end up blurry. 2-Using the stock camera: The phone allows me to take 30 burst photos in 2 seconds. I move my camera while shooting bursts, so capturing the best shot is much easier, but the output is JPEG.

Hi that lens look interesting and I think there is more to come as smartphone photography develops. It’s almost a specialised field of its own as camera manufacturers push the lenses and software further and further with more accessories appearing. I was going to purchase a Sony camera for vlogging but the price of its lenses are as dear as the camera body. I guess I will continue with my smart phone instead. ATB.
