If the School of Mary has any way to have specific things available to the public without accounts, it could not only make it easier for people to register. But that also gives them an even easier bar to entry. They could see what the platform is like before even bothering to register. Granted, at not cost, the bar is already fairly low for entry. I'm glad I watched this one, rather than just listening, or Greg's fun toward the end wouldn't have made as much sense, I imagine. The preparation for death, which most people assume is far in the future, but could happen to someone as a teen or any age,...that's an important topic. Many people don't put in place wills, the various medical and legal powers of attorney and similar. We all die sometime, so to fail to prepare just leaves survivors with more work and challenges (and sometimes higher taxes) when that day comes. As for the pronoun use topic, I thought that was going in a different direction, too. Those professional nouns get so much attention now. Yet, I want professional verbs, since verbs do things. Admit it, wouldn't the world be much better if we spent more time focusing on Proverbs rather than pronouns? (Biblical wisdom and pun for the day, all in one shot)

Self-degradation versus humility isn't as hard to distinguish as one might thing. Society has twisted humility by having self-deprecating statements and calling that humility, but it's a false humility. Humility's root word and origin is humus--ground, earth, etc. It's well-grounded. It's being honest about what one is. Self-degradation or self-deprecation is putting oneself down, typically in a way that's not accurate and below what's well-grounded. That's not a good thing, while humility is good. If you are the best in the world at something, one would be lying if one said you weren't. However, you don't want to brag about it. Humility is accepting that it could be true if it's likely true. Humility also recognizes what God gave us, because it's well-grounded. If you are the best at something, and you acknowledge God's part in that, it's a great form of humility. One may not even have to acknowledge that you are the best. Most people aren't the best, and we can still acknowledge God's part in that. If we claim to be better or worse than we really are, then it can lead to us not making full use of what God gave us, or failing in the eyes of others who were led to believe we were better than we really were. Humility can allow us to make use of our skills, talents, and interests in the best ways possible.
