It's funny, I disagree with so many of these refereeing decisions. The second one with the maul for example, half the defending team came in the side

Completely agree… wasn’t so much coming in at the side as coming in from the opposite end!

The number of clips where the jacklers hands go beyond the ball or they've got an arm/elbow down to support their weight is astonishing. Shame refs don't enforce the rules on this.

Great video but I find so many jacklers are off their feet. I think a simple rule could be your feet must be under your body when you jackle, never behind you, which makes you parallel to the ground. Essentially you can squat like a prop pre scrum but can't be in the body position of a prop engaged in a scrum.

Even the fist clip is a horrendous decision. The Argentinian player clearly put his hands on the floor first and then went for the ball. Should of been a penalty to the all blacks if anything.

He was off his feet, yes, but the ruck had not yet formed, so legal jackle. And then supported his weight.

The whole breakdown has become a joke. How many jacklers could realistically stand up with the ball? We just have a game where the penalty gets forced. Why not just reduce holding on to a free kick? Is change of possession not a good enough sanction?
