Can this be programmed down to a class 2? 28mph is nutty for a cargo bike...also cant be used on all paths and trails wihout class2 down rateability

Love my Globe Haul ST. This looks like close competitor. I prefer three inch tire on Globe and easily adjustable seat and handlebars. Braking is excellent. Would definitely be looking at this if I did not already have Haul ST.

The Haul is a seriously awesome bike. Good choice!

Who's scooter is that on the side of the path, I've seen it in a couple of your videos, is it for production, by the way awesome video as always

Spin scooters, local reant a scooter thing where they are all along the sides of roads and bike paths. Bit of a love/hate with those things.

This or the specialized globe st?
@ElectricBikeReport2 ай бұрын
Both are pretty good ones to consider. The Globe had better results in the standard tests, but momentum isn't far behind. The Momentum motor has a bit of a friendlier learning curve to it - Specialized is great, but cadence is more important there than on most hub motors. Overall cargo room is a bit roomier with momentum too - so if something like the massive basket or two kids seats is important that'll give momentum the edge. You're not likely to go wrong with either, so go with whichever one you're leaning towards or whichever one has the nearest LBS to you for service.

@ElectricBikeReport I heard about the learning curve with the specialized but I'm not really sure what that means exactly. I currently have a pedego avenue which is cadence. But I really like the ability to do the things a cargo will allow. What exactly does the learning curve entail?

As you mentioned, the seat post storage compartment is basically useless with any of the rear rack accessories attached. You can't open it at all with the passenger bundle attached, in fact. Deal breaker

That's a shame too, because we love that it comes standard! If you're just using paniers or something though then it's handy additional storage.

This one looks like a women’s bike! Step throughs are ok, but I rather have a men’s bike!
@ElectricBikeReport2 ай бұрын
Step-thru bikes haven't been a "women's bike" in decades. Times have changed. For commuters, cruisers, and leisure bikes, our office unanimously prefers ST frames to high steps. They are just more comfortable in general.
@alvaroq20242 ай бұрын
@@ElectricBikeReport we have our preferences and manufacturers haven’t stopped building high steps bicycles as you call them. Even their ads nowadays are distinguishing them into two rider categories; men and women electric bicycles! I digress.
