#LifeIsMusic maestros Louiz Banks, Taufiq Qureshi, Purbayan Chatterjee & Bass prodigy Mohini Dey create Momentum on this week’s episode. Watch the Piano, Sitar, Bass Guitar and Drums blend in to create a melody that will keep you hooked till the very end. Taufiq Qureshi's simultaneous beatboxing match the fast-paced beats of the Drums, the strumming of the Sitar and the Bass Guitar and the mellifluous notes of the Piano. This composition by Jazz Maestro Louiz Banks adds the spice at the end of each performance of his. Give it a listen and get captivated by the music.
Let’s start a musical journey and explore our huge collection of instrumental music, best instrumental songs, and musical band online, only on #LifeIsMusic.

This stuff is great. It reminds me of the stuff going on in the 1970s with John McLaughlin and his two bands Mahvishnu Orchestra & Shakti, the band Return to Forever, Jean Luc-Ponty, the violinist, and other jazz fusion/prog rock bands of the time. In fact, Banks and Qureshi are old enough to know of those bands.

My brother was an electric guitar bassist; and I am so happy to watch Mohini Dey boogie down. I wish you can have a concert in San Francisco, California USA. Whenever you do, I will definitely be there. Also, I have thoroughly enjoyed the sitar.

kathleen davis: You must be kidding me! You must be very proud of Him, you should be. This is the shite! I'm a musician from the 60's, psychedelic-era in SF. I live in Mendo now. Listen, if they ever come to the Bay area; please let me know. I would love to meet these guys, your brother. [I fell in love with the female Bass-player; y.k.... men?]. But really, this is the only kind of music I listen to now. I just discovered this genre: in particular; this group, recently. I tried to develop it on my own or yrs. I went to India and got lost in the Bhajan's there; became a sadhu. But, I delved into this jazz-fusion-raga; for sometime and, it is fascinating for me to see, how it has developed! Like I say, I have been on a long sabbatical and have been, kind-of-out of the whole popular music scene. And only recently, have reentered the "grand-machine". But this is refreshing to see how, it has developed and excuse my french, this is excellent! I would love to jam with them! (707) 841-6: the last three numbers are a sacred Vedic number. (Sorry; Can't put the # out there, for you only).

All musicians are extremely skillful but the composition has no soul. Very synthetically, artificially composed series of notes and bits.

@@rajwarnakulasuriya5935 As per my little understanding, any art form that brings emotions in the mind of the audience in the form of 'rasa' has soul in it. (I am referring to 9 rasa or navarasa which are described in Indian art and culture). If robot dances, it may make 100s of skillful moves that a human possibly can not but when a human dancer makes an apparently simple move with an apt expression on the face, that expression brings soul to the performance which 1000s of aerobatic moves can not. Same applies to music. Different ornaments such as 'harkat' that brings soul to the music in my opinion. Different listeners may have their own perspective, I just stated mine. For few people this music might have brought emotions, hence they might find it soulful. Good for them.

@@shailesh_joshi..... thank you, yes you are correct that each of us has different taste buds / receptors in our five senses in our body which gives a signal (wave frequency) to our neurons that gives rise to our feelings, whether it is your tong, smell, sound, vision or touch what we call sense sphere, it is your feeling aggregate that gives rise to emotions through consciousness, individual being has a unique 'rasa' therefore what may be tasty for you may not taste the same to another, therefore no one is right or wrong, we all experience things differently
