MOMMA CRUZ'S BEAUTY SALON 💈💇‍♀️💇‍♂️🪞🦅 6.20.24 FRASIER POINT EAGLES~ NEST OF CRUZ, ANDOR, REIGN & MANINI 🐥🐥💕
Last season, at Frasier Point, (California) I was able to witness some sweet and funny grooming sessions by Momma Cruz to her eaglets, Reign and Manini. I've seen little bits of allopreening between mates, mom and babies, eaglets and their siblings but Cruz sure took it to a whole new level I've never seen before!🤭
Manini had accidentally "fludged" 6 days prior and was able to take flight the next day. Mom and Dad tried to lead the way back many times but re-entry on this nest is more tricky than it looks. But sure enough, 6 days later, Manini made a triumphant return! Reign was happy to see it's sibling and Mom was just so pleased she couldn't contain herself.🥰
She eagerly began grooming both eaglets- whoever was closest and took turns on the other when one got away. She intensely preened both, fixing their feathers, picking off tiny bugs and making sure they looked their best.🪞😍
Both eaglets were voicing their displeasure the entire time, squeeing away.

What a sweet Momma, she is!! She loves her babies! I just couldn't get enough, and clearly neither could she.❤️😆💇‍♀️💇‍♂️💈
