This song has one of my favorite choruses from the 1980s. The chords and harmonies, and his voice are just fantastic.

hey guys! I just watched this video. HUGE Over The Top & Kenny Loggins fan here! I truly want to thank you, sir, for posting this, as I never see ANYTHING on the internet about it. It's almost as if it never existed unless you ordered the DVD/soundtrack or rarely catch it playing on tv. I grew up watching this and showing all my friends... They loved it, too! Stallone had signed a contract for two films, making $11M back in '86. First, he made Cobra, then Over The Top. This was his very first role where he wasn't a "high profile," and somewhat cocky character, like Rocky, Rambo, or Cobretti were in different ways. Yes, he was an arm wrestler from the trucking division, but never portrayed that but by only keeping in shape, etc. That movie was EXTREMELY UNDERRATED & so was, "Meet Me Halfway." Like you talked about in the end of the video... that's actually essential in our lives. Not many people "Understood," or, "Got," that movie. It wasn't just some arm wrestling or trucking movie- it was so much more profound. I Get it, And So Do You. We are JUST special. What upsets me is that you cannot even find ONE TIME that Kenny Loggins plays it in concert. It did peak in 1987 at #11 on The Billboard Hot 100; However, on The US Adult Contemporary Billboard it peaked at #2. More people should be listening to this song You two keep it real. You Got a like and subscribe from me. Happy Thanksgiving! Bless You, Both!
