Do we ever have to replace the membrane ? I notice that the other pumps tell you to replace like every 2 months

The membranes on other pumps are much more prone to wear and tear so that’s why they recommend that. You don’t need to replace the ones on the freestyle unless they tear or become damaged but I never had that happen in all the time I used mine!

Hi i got an evenflow single electric breast pump through my insurance but its not that efficient for me at work as it rakes an hour to express milk from both breasts. So i am thinking to buy a new pump and i am torn between the lansinoh and the freestyle. My main thing is to habe a pump that will empty my breasts quickly and more efficiently and will hep increase my milk supply. All my freinds at work habe the freestyle and i discovered the pansinoh through your videos and it is tempting for me to buy it as it has so many features just like the medela freestyle but much cheaper. The medela is more appealing only for the built in battery as i can use it in the car without worriying that my AA batteries will get weeker during the pumping as it happened to me with the evenflow. I just want to make the right choice for my baby and dont want my my milk supply ro suffer. Which one di you recommend since you habe tried both.

Okay so let me get this; as soon as you turn it on it starts to pump; am I to assume that is already stimulation? How many times do I punch the stimulation mode button? Does it mean when it comes on I let it go on for a few minutes then punch the button to get into pump mode? I find the limited button and figures a bit confusing. Thank you for the video.

It’s been years since I’ve used this pump so I can’t answer all your questions specifically. The pump will start in stimulation mode as long as you haven’t had a memory mode set that is different than that. You shouldn’t hold any buttons other than power or when programming the memory function. The manual explains everything I mentioned and maybe even better than I did. They’re available online if you search “Medela Freestyle owners manual”

Have you found a pump that is your favorite? I was given the Rumble Tuff pump from my insurance but it broke on me and I actually feel it was the reason I was losing my supply. I personally didn't think it was a good pump. So I'm currently renting the medela symphony....LOVE it but want to invest in my own pump..maybe one that is the next best to the symphony.

I would say the Symphony is actually my favorite but it's too expensive for me to buy or rent :/ So my affordable recommendation is the Lansinoh Signature Pro or Smart Pump. I love them!

I would if you fit in the life span recommendation from the manual! It's 3- 15 minute sessions a day for a year. If that's the max of how often you plan on using then yep! But if you'd use it more than I would say look into the Motif Duo breast pump!
