I’m currently pumping after watching your video. I had almost given up, but after following your instructions, I’m literally pumping so efficiently. I’m literally amazed. In just 10 min, I’ve pumped an ounce. I’ve had this pump for 2 months and just now know how to use it. I was using it absolutely WRONG! I thought my milk was drying up, but I actually still have so much. I was legit on the BRINK of quitting. I’m so thankful, my baby boy and I are so thankful. Your help is going to feed him until he wants to stop. My life has changed.

HA!! I got this pump in 2019 and used it for maybe 3 months before going to formula. I didn't do any research on it, did TONS wrong and I think thats why I gave up so soon. But I just had a new baby and really want to try to go the extra mile (especially since we have a formula shortage right now) and this video was very helpful. I never knew what the letdown button even was (not sure I even knew it was there lol) but now that I've done some more researching I feel like I may be able to go a lot longer this time!! Thanks for the vid 😉😍

i had my son september 30 and today hes 2 months old i was pumping for 4 weeks after he was born i havent pumped since 4 weeks is it possible to get my milk supply back i haven't pumped at all in 4 weeks and i still have milk in my breast
@MommaAlia8 жыл бұрын
It's possible momma! It's called relactating and it's difficult but not impossible. I would definitely look into joining a breastfeeding support group to help you through this because some one on one help and support will help a lot! You'll want to pump every 2-3 hours around the clock, make sure your flange is sized, stay hydrated and stick with it even if you get drops for awhile. Good luck momma!(:

You'll want to pump every 2-3 hours around the clock, make sure your flange is sized, stay hydrated and stick with it even if you get drops for awhile. I’m not sure momma. I know as the PISA comes, Avent wouldn’t fit. If there’s an adapter it may work but I have no personal experience to tell you 100%😕 I would purchase the adapter off amazon if you could that way if it doesn’t fit you can probably send it back

Question though,mine didn't come with the phalanges or however you spell it? Are these a must and if so where could I get them ?
@MommaAlia6 жыл бұрын
Happy to help momma! Their owners manual are also online in PDF form so if you need to search for it, they’re out there! And yep, flanges are definitely key! They’re what attach to your breast and suck your nipple to pull the milk out. Amazon, Babies R Us (in case you’re in Canada), target and even some Walmart’s carry them!

What is the difference between stimulation mode and expression mode? Does stimulation mode go quicker and expression mode go slower? Do you suggest lower suction on stimulation and higher auction on expression mode?

Can you do a video on cleaning the Medela pump parts especially the tubing
@MommaAlia7 жыл бұрын
If you get condensation in your tubing after a pump session, you don't need to change them. Just crank your pump on high AFTER you're done and unattached for about 10-15 minutes. It'll dry them out. If you get milk in them you can soak them in warm soapy water, then rinse, hang upside down and run some alcohol through them to help them dry(:

Hello. How can i sanitized the tubing ?
@MommaAlia5 жыл бұрын
Soak it in hot soapy water. Rinse them out. Boil them. Swing them around your head like lasso you get as much moisture out as possible. Hang to dry somewhere vertical. But I wouldn’t do it unless they’ve had contact with milk or some other liquid that isn’t water
@keilisbabys47708 жыл бұрын
Do you recommend this one over the lansinoh pump or vise versa? please reply ASAP? Thankyou in advance!:)
@MommaAlia8 жыл бұрын
I prefer the Lansinoh for myself. If you like more suction, I'd go with the Medela. If you need something that's a little gentler, I would go with the Lansinoh(:

How do I tell if it’s in stimulation or letdown mode
@MommaAlia4 жыл бұрын
It automatically starts in letdown mode. Listen closely to it. If it sounds faster, it’s in stimulation, hit the button and it should sound slower. If you’re still confused just turn it off then back on and you’ll know you’re definitely in let down mode!

Does the pump need to be on its back facing the ceiling or facing me? What is considered upright ?
@celinamacial5 жыл бұрын
Alicia Delacruz the website recommends for the pump to face you. If it lays down there’s a possibility of milk getting into the pump. Hope this helps 😊

hi, im not sure if you’ll respond but my son is about it be a year and I still have milk I would like to start pumping again would you recommend me anything to increase my milk supplement?
@MommaAlia4 жыл бұрын
Hey momma! You can take supply boosters when you’re relactating but the most consistent way will be your pump routine! Going back to every 2-3 hours during the day and 3-4 at night. It may take a while to see any progress depending on when you weaned but if you’re consistent you production should slowly increase🤞🏻🤍

Do you have to charge your pump after you get it out the box ????? Or is it ready to go
@paigeyoutubes30695 жыл бұрын
there is a battery pack plug in or a wall plug in (black cord)
@itscollysworld13895 жыл бұрын
Again is it ready to go ...... or do I need to charge it before first use.
@MommaAlia5 жыл бұрын
Paige is trying to explain that the pump as you receive it from your insurance/store will only come with a wall adapter. There's no charging because there's no power without that cord. It has to be plugged in to the wall to have power. You can purchase a battery back separately to make it battery operated if that's an issue for you.
@itscollysworld13895 жыл бұрын
Momma Alia I understand My question was fresh out the box is it ready to go pretty much I understand the charging reply

I would like to set mine to max but when I do I feel like it's not as powerful as when I set it to the second setting after the middle. It sounds like the motor starts struggling on anything higher. Is this something you experience as well or do you think I got a bad pump?
@MommaAlia8 жыл бұрын
I think I know what you're talking about. How it becomes more drawn out and almost slower? If that's not what it is I would call Medela because something may be wrong. But if that;s what you're talking about, it's unfortunately normal. I don't crank it up that high because fortunately lower suctions empty me well. If it can't I would look into a new pump momma:/

Is the fast mode for let down? I’m confused by stimulation or the other thing you said. When I press the let down button to stimulate my milk is it suppose to be fast or slow?
@MommaAlia4 жыл бұрын
Yep, the faster one is for letdown. The slower one is for trying to empty your breast!
