Once it’s healed you can wear headphone I have one on my right ear and now that it’s healed it fine and comfortable. Didn’t have a lot of pain through out the healing process it did get infected from time to time. But mostly because I had a tendency to play with it. At once point I had a bump form which tends to happen as it heals. Not an infection but I can’t remember what it was called. It did go away with a few remedies I found online and after I year I finally decided to change the ring that was in it. I love it. It does seriously help with headaches and migraines

had my daith for 6 days now and whew i was not expecting this. the actually piercing itself was i would say somewhat painful but mostly shocking because of how much pressure there was. i don’t suffer from migraines but my head was definitely hurting after the piercing for about half an hour lol. now it still is hurting and very sore when cleaning. hopefully the soreness stops soon, wasn’t expecting it to last this long. definitely a huge commitment p.s. i wore headphones after getting it done comfortably but really be careful

Sounds like what ever energetic chain the piercing opened up has opened up more pathways in the head. In this case it seems that the head is beginning to heal itself some more, releasing toxins from tension points in the head.

I got mine two days ago and I had so much pressure around the back of my eyes and it was unreal. It still hurts now and is kinda sticking out of my ear and idk if that’s normal or meant to happen but the ring is quite big. I had my left daith done for about a year, pretty much eliminated my chronic allergy headaches. Occasionally I would get a slight one, on the opposite side of my head. My daith helped so much that I got the other side done. They do hurt longer, and are one of the longest piercings to fully heal, but it was well worth it!! Anytime I feel stressed I tug on mine & it helps to calm me down, considerably! Love mine.

I got my daith piercing a week ago. I haven't had too much trouble with mine except for me being stupid in putting a earbud in that ear and watching a horror game and ended up injuring my piercing. The next two days after my entire ear got swollen and I went to my piercer about it cause I was really worried about it. He told be that the piercing itself it looking great no infection and that the swelling is normal because the daith piercing affects the entire ear. He recommended neilmed piercing aftercare fine mist to use and I bought two bottles that they had and I've been using it for three days and when I woke up this morning my ear is no longer swollen and is back to normal. So I agree if you get a daith piercing don't wear earbuds until your pricing is fully healed, I sure learned my lesson.
@lovesjsharkie6 жыл бұрын
I'd definitely say that my daith has improved my earbud experience. I've had mine for a few years now and I prefer the inner-ear earbuds that have the silicone bits that go into your ear and block out noise and I can either wear them over or under the ring. (Think flipping it forward and putting the earbud in behind it or just popping it in in front of the piercing.) So if you like the ones like the classic apple earbuds and are having issues keeping them in, try putting them behind the ring. It actually works better for me that way than before I got the piercing. Healing experiences are going to be unique for everyone, but I've had people approach me to ask about mine before just for the earbud question because they had wanted one but were worried about not being able to listen to music anymore. Hopefully it helps anyone looking into getting one to have the word of someone who's had a healed one for quite a while with no side-effects.

I got mine done two days ago while i was having a pretty bad migraine and had basically had been suffering from one for a week on and off. I've been a chronic migraine sufferer since i was 10 years old (i'm now 25) and honestly, i already feel an improvement. As soon as i got it the same thing happened to me, my migraine went away and i had a small headache instead. Pain for me wasn't bad at all and i don't even remember the pop to be honest. But I've also got a really high pain tolerance because of migraines and other painful things lol. I also did it as a spur of the moment thing and didn't have any time to look up videos or read many threads about it. I think it was probably the best thing to do. Lol. It's not currently very scabby/crusty and theres no swelling or redness that i can tell so that's a plus. But it's also early days. Haha

Hello! I got my daith pierced a month ago for a daily consistent headache that I've had for a year and a half. It hasn't relieved my headaches, but they might caused by my recently diagnosed Lyme disease (we're still trying to figure it out). I have found some earbuds that are very comfortable to wear. The brand Skullcandy has a lot of earbuds with suction-cup-like ends that are very small, and do not come into contact with my piercing at all. I don't know if you have tried these, but I highly recommend them. Hope this helps and happy to hear about your headache relief!

This was simultaneously my favorite AND the worst piercing I ever got... and I’ve had a lot of piercings (5 in my ears plus daith, nose, eyebrow, belly button, tongue). It was the only piercing that I actually heard and felt an audible “pop” when they put the needle thru. It was super cute and I got the most compliments on it out of my piercings. The issues with sleeping and headphones, they go away after a few months. U figure out work arounds over time, like pushing the ring forward while using headphones. Sleeping on that side just takes time, wait to heal before u do and then you’ll get used to it. I can’t speak to migraines, I got mine done 13 yrs ago (edit: it was 15 yrs ago 😳 I got it done at age 19. God I feel old🤦♀️) before it was a thing to get it done to help migraines (nobody even knew what this piercing was called at the time, the popular ear piercing everyone was getting back “in my day” lol was the tragus, and I didn’t want what everyone else had). I got it cuz I wanted a fun new piercing and I asked the girl doing it what was a piercing she’s never done yet that she likes and would want to try, and she showed me the daith and I said “sure”! (I miss My freewheeling youthful days!) Anyway, the 2nd worst part about the daith piercing (after the pop of the needle) is the fact that it’s VERY DIFFICULT to change out the ring, which can complicate things if u r required to take it out semi frequently for any reason. I have epilepsy and my seizures r intractable (meds don’t get rid of them), so I have to have annual MRIs to check for brain damage. The first 2 MRIs I was lucky that a nurse helped me get it out and a friend helped me put the ring back in after. The third MRI, a male nurse took the ring out with very little finesse, like a damn bull in a china shop, and the ring went flying under some medical equipment, lost forever. I had plans to go get a new ring after the mri, but when I came home my family was all over for the news that my mum got diagnosed with cancer, so needless to say, getting a new ring went out of my head and by the time I realized it, the piercing had closed up. 🤷♀️ Anyway, my point was to say, if ur thinking about getting this piercing just know it’s a bitch to take out and put in, so if u think u may have to frequently, maybe reconsider. Even having a spare earring wouldn’t solve it tho, because even before I lost my earring, when I’d have someone try to put it back in after my MRI, it would take them HOURS. All that said tho, I LOVED that piercing. I may even get it done again and take the advice in the video and just go to the shop every time I need it put back in!

I had mine downsized after 9 weeks. I think 12 would be better. I had no issue it was just a little tender putting the new one through. No yucky stuff no crusty stuff. Still not game enough to sleep on that side yet as I have an anti tragus which is a little newer. Send ok fire headaches as long as it's not from my neck being out like the other day. It didn't hurt getting this piercing you think it does but it is just pressure.

I still have the original jewelry because I moved out of state...more like across country, so I don’t know of a good person yet to go to

Yours seems to be much like mine was were my daith is not extreamly prominent like some other people's are. unfortunatly now nearly 2 years later I get crusties from time to time, or it almost seems to have an infectious bubble form, but clears up with in a week and is fine. It has helped with headaches but it was a pretty traumatic piercing to get as it was a very large chunk of skin taken out. I have a feeling it's now nearly fully healed but it's been a very slow and steady process and I wish you all the luck with yours!

I got mine done 4 days ago. The piercing part didnt hurt at all just sounded weird. But the day after and every day since has been full of PAIN. I have a high pain tolerance and this is bugging me. I have a ton of swelling. My jaw joint is swollen and hurts to move along with smiling my actual ear canal is swollen to the point i can barely hear out of my right ear. Cleaning it hurts like H-E- double hockey sticks. BUT i havent had a migraine since i got it done. I have daily migraines that never go away even with meds and i also have IIH aka PTC. I give it a month and if it doesnt start feeling better im taking it out. I want to take it out now it hurts so bad and itches as well.

Looks like you have a pressure bump at the top of the piercing. Putting a bit of crushed up aspirin, mixed with water ( to make a paste), on it over night, for a week, will get rid of it.

Niah Bianca If your pain tolerance is low to medium I wouldn’t recommend one for you lol I feel like my pain tolerance is medium to high for cosmetic things but when I got my daith done a few days ago it bloody hurt! I didn’t think it would be too bad but it was much worse than I was expecting, my belly piercing was nothing compared to it 😂 I only read about it after I got it done and learned it is one of the more painful piercings. So if you’re not great with pain, I don’t recommend! EDIT: I’ve since learned that mine hurt because of my tiny ears, my daith is way inside my ear and my piercer had to go through hard bony cartilage to pierce it!
@pamelam11016 жыл бұрын
I got it done about a month and a half ago and it's honesty not bad, I don't know what I am in scale of pain tolerance but I'd say I'm about average? I'm not sure if you got it yet but it honestly isn't bad. Mine didn't get infected, bloody, or get any keloids and I've barely felt any pain it's honestly been going really well. As for when I got it, my adrenaline spiked for me so I guess that took the pain out of it, it wasn't really painful more just like someone was pinching your ear really hard, like lots of pressure that's what my pierced told me. It's different for everyone and I've heard horror stories but for me it's gonna REALLY well.

My Daith experience ughhh were to even start. So the piercing itself well it didn’t hurt, it was more like pressure. I didn’t mind it. 1wk in this!! Ughhh painful then it started to just itch all of a sudden. Itch, itch, itch, itch, itch. Sowee for all the itching. 😂 the I noticed 2wks in sore thru out and more itching. Mind you I would clean this sucker so bad. Everyday . Til like 2 months in I noticed it started to move (migrate) this sucker moved... yeah the itching was the first cause of it. 4 months in swelling, hurting, did I mention more itching. Yeah by the 5 month in or I should say out it just completely popped out! Now my healing begins. Guess what NO more itching. I guess my body just rejected it right from the get go! No biggy I will heal n maybe later on get it done again who knows! This has been the Only, but not last time I will pierce my ears.
