It's always nice to find that intelligent human being's are still on the planet. Not only did this gentleman rescue another being, but he was wise enough to release it back to it's environment to learn to be a squirrel. "Nature finds a way." To all others, wild animal's are not to be kept as pets by us.

There is probably nothing more attractive than when a strong man is kind, gentle, caring and loving to those weaker than he. I saw a glimpse there for a split second where it looked like you might have gotten a tiny bit choked up while walking back in the house. It is the BEST feeling in the world to be kind to an animal or a person that needs it. It looked like the mother squirrel gave you a little kiss on your hand for the free babysitting and meal for her toddler. I wouldn't be surprised at all if they come back for a visit some day. Your testimony at the end was beautiful. Thank you for sharing such a sweet and tender moment with the world. We all need to witness more of these helpful actions and hopefully by more people seeing it, it will encourage more and more people to do the right things when it comes down to helping the vulnerable, no matter what body that soul is in. That is beautiful. The reaction of the mother was so touching. I am currently caring for a baby Spotted Dove that was dropped from the beak of a crow when the mother attacked it trying to save her baby. I was not able to unite the mother and baby as the baby had a bleeding injury on her back and was close to death. But the act of caring for creatures is a mark of a good human. Laurent, I agree, it is a sad realization, the endless flood of unnecessary negativism and volley upon volley of juvenile name-calling. One person does something nice and a dozen instantly race to tear it down. Sick, sad and pathetic however, nothing new. The Old Testament prophet Habakkuk found himself in the same place we seem to be in today. Somewhere about 607 BC. He brought his complaints before God and said: "wherever I look, I see destruction and violence. I am surrounded by people who love to argue and fight. The law has become paralyzed and useless, and there is no justice given in the courts. The wicked far outnumber the righteous, and justice is perverted with bribes and trickery." The Lord replied that he was to watch and be astounded at what he would do and that ultimately the righteous would triumph and the ungodly would get they're just desserts. The best we can do 1st this time is to remain positive, trust that the Living God will come to the aid of the righteous. And even though at this exact moment in time and place it may seem like we're losing, however the race isn't over until the checkered flag is waved! Stand strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Applaud those who do good. Have nothing to do with the workers of iniquity. By acknowledging positive and rebuking the negative we will, in our own little corner of the world, put the humanity back into the human. Until then may God's blessing be upon those who do good and share it with us. I enjoyed the story. I don't care so much whether it was a squirrel or chipmunk it was in living creature which clearly was able to think, feel emotion, carry on in the more human way than some humans I have encountered both in real life and here in the anti-social social media. Spread the positive, shun the negative and do our best to facilitate goodness, compassion, love and mercy wherever we go.

Now, that was simply incredible to see. I think momma squirrel was very thankful for you taking care of her baby. I can only imagine how good you felt. To date, I have helped a turtle across the street and in turn, from getting hit by a car and a honey bee from drowning and then helping it to recover with a little watered down honey. Even saving the honey bee gave me a feeling of accomplishment and pure happiness.

🐝 awesome you saved a honey bee we need as many honey bees in this world . you did a great thing for the honey bee and Humanity . they say without honey bees our world as we know it would end so you kind of saved the world with one little honey bee awesomeness . and saving Turtles is one of Lights gifts that my husband and I do a lot because we live in Florida and we have many turtles where we live and they cross the street all the time so we keep a towel in the back of our car just for turtles and saving abandon kittens . every kitten we have found literally in the middle of the street he ran out in front of our vehicle and my husband stepped out of the vehicle and the kitten ran right up to my husband and he brought him home and we named him Christmas tree cuz it was Christmas Eve . and Christmas Eve is also my husband's birthday we celebrate Christmas and Hanukkah both not that that has anything to do with anything anyway you are awesome and so thankful I came across this video of this wonderful man saving this little baby and the MoMA coming back is just awesome and so are you . 🐢 PeaCe. crazy how she went over it with a fine tooth comb to make sure it was ok! She probably smelled you on the baby, then came over to smell you. Wild how she tried to get it to follow and when it wouldn't, she just grabbed it and took off. You're a good man!

I had a house set in the woods and had chipmunks (similar in size and personalities) hanging around all the time. I had one I named "scar" (because he had a scar under his left eye) who got so tame he'd hear me walk on the deck and come over and take peanuts from my hand. It was funny, whenever I had people over, he'd hear them and come up to beg for food.

You have done a wonderful job, young man. We are very proud of you and very thankful that there are young people like you in this world who care for other living beings. The mother would be eternally grateful to you for having saved her young. It does not matter whether you call it a squirrel or a chipmunk as they are related.
