I showed this video to my 9 year old grandson who is on the autism spectrum. He literally had a small tear fall down his face while watching this. I asked him what about the video made him cry & he answered “I understand them”. Now he wants to build squirrel houses for his backyard. He has already built caterpillar houses, lol. Thank you for sharing this beautiful story. You’ve just inspired a little boy to do more kind things. Ugh, now I’m crying, but they are happy tears❤

My dog who has crossed over the rainbow 🌈 too was a gentle and loving angel like Murphy. He loved all the squirrels, birds and butterflies in the backyard. He would smile as they ate and frolicked in our garden as they played & ate. It’s so endearing and beautiful.

I think a lot of it is down to how chill Murphy is. I had a Goldie when I was a kid and he definitely was not chill, would smother you with love non stop so any squirrel in our garden would sprint away quickly as my dog ran towards it to say hello but Murphy shows remarkable calmness like he knows any sudden moves will scare the lil guy
