It sucks and I'm sorry u had to go through what u went through with the nurses not being attentive and so rude. I do know that the anesthesiologist had to cover the phone because no one is supposed to be in the room or even recording during that time. At least that's what they told me when I had my 4th baby. So I thought that was nice of her not to cut it off or be rude and knock it down like the other lady did. But congratulations, and u did amazing. I had my 6th baby at home and it was painful but so worth it and I was going to do it again but I ended up having a missed miscarriage in May. So I'm praying for a rainbow baby if it's God's will.

In Germany a walking epidural is standard (lower dose). I talked to a US nurse in a KZbin comment section😅. And she said walking epidural could be done in US hospitals but patients didn't want it. Her explanation was that patients wanted as little pain as possible. You clearly asked for something like a walking epidural (low dose) and the nurses say it's not possible (even though the doctor was the one that brought it up).

Pitocin terrifies me! I had my oldest daughter totally natural and I went in with my second daughter to be induced. I thought i was a warrior and insisted i wanted no pain meds. They started the pitocin about 10:30 am by 11:45 am I was begging for an epidural! I went through such a depression after, I felt like I cheated, that i failed as a mom because I couldn't do it naturally. I've had two more children after that and I realized that the goal is to have the best experience to enjoy bringing a happy, healthy baby into the world!

@@skeleton_wa_migraine1736 yea I really struggled with that for a long time until I finally realized that each birth is so different and again the goal is to have the best experience for baby but also for us! We can’t enjoy bringing baby into the world If we are in excruciating pain and can’t seem to get a break! Pitocin brings pain on strong and furious…. no one can “just power through” that kind of torture! You did great mama, you brought your beautiful baby safely into the world in the best way you could❤️

I love watching these types of videos. Thank you for sharing your wonderful day. With mine, i ended up asleep. My hospital was awful. They literally left me in hard labor with my contractions only 1 to 2 mins apert for 3 days!! I never dilated past 3 centimeters. My ob just happened to be on vacation and they apparently never read my charts. He had noted that he suspected i would not dilate and a c-section needed. Nothing was done until my daughters heart stopped beating. The nurse tried lying to me stating she had only moved but 9 months pregnant and being hooked up to the monitors for 3 days i knew better. At that same moment i heard my ob in the hallway yelling at the nurses and drs about me and how he had noted my charts. Next i knew i was out and in the or having a cesarean. When i woke i thought for certain my daughter hadn't survived but i was was immediately brought to her when i was aware enough to see her. I didn't believe them when they said she had for some reason. She was hooked to so many tubes and monitors that i began to cry. There was talk about sending her to another hospital for care. I thank God that she not only survived but has grown healthy and strong. I was told she may have problems due to the lack of oxygen. She may not be able to walk or talk. She proved them all wrong! That was an awful experience and one i never wanted to experience again. For my other children, i was scheduled ahead of time for c sections.

I just had my baby 6 weeks ago and shared my labor and delivery on KZbin. It seems we had a very similar experience. After 9 hours of laboring at home, I had no contractions and had to get pitocin at the 12 hour mark. After 10 hours, I got up to a level 10 pitocin, 5cm dilated, and had to request an epidural after getting very sick and labor pains moving to my back! Although I didn’t want an epidural, it was the best thing I could’ve done after experiencing them pitocin forced contractions… I didn’t want pitocin just like you! But it seems you were able to relax and have a positive birthing experience overall, and that’s the goal! Congratulations ❤

Im pushing 40 now, and I've always wondered what being pregnant and giving birth would feel like. Most women say the whole experience is hard to explain because it's unlike anything you have ever felt. However, given my medical conditions, I've definitely felt what an epideral was like during both surgeries. One leg went completely numb after i woke up in ICU. I started to panic, thinking something went wrong with my epidural. The nurse had to rest assure me that it was normal for that to happen. I was glad once the thing was taken out and could feel my leg again. 😊

I've been watching birth videos because I am unsure and honestly scared of having children, after hearing such scary stories even my own mother's story where she almost passed away while and after giving birth to my sister. This really helped a lot so thank you so much for sharing such a private and beautiful moment. You were awesome the whole way through. There was one moment when you were telling your husband about the super painful contractions and I had to pause the video after he said yeah we did it together when YOU're the one feeling the physical pain. I don't point this out in a bad way but in a good way because I know myself too well. I know for a fact I would have given my partner the stare of Excuse me with possibly a lot of attitude I do not take pain well at all. This is why I am so scared of having a child. However I still want my own someday I think after watching this.

Not for the nurses. They get nothing extra for that. And there are literal written standards and protocols, IE if this then that, that they follow, and the nurse can only increase the pitocin based upon the physicians written titration orders. Not everything is a conspiracy

You don’t actually need to induce contractions to help dialyse - it just creates more pain for what? It creates more stress and a bigger bill at the end of the day , my opinion talking to a lot of midwives vs nurses and seeing a lot of natural births vs hospital births. And mothers I personally know who did both. I don’t know but all the hospital ones are seemingly more complicated with more strangers in and out and more stress and more money and often times a lot more pain than is naturally needed when comparing to the natural births I’ve talked about (not to say the natural births are painless but some of them felt it was so easy wasn’t a screaming scary pain)

Birthed at home..had 19 hours of early labor which was super easy. No problems. Then had 4.5 hours of active labor. Loved it. If I can avoid it, I'll never have a hospital birth. Home birth midwives don't fear monger you into doing something you aren't comfortable with. They truly give you options. Most midwives give you 42+ weeks before you have to go into labor, 48 hours of ruptured membranes before you have to be in labor, and will deliver breech babies. They also have great statistics and so much fewer intervention. Their infant and mother mortality are at least the same as the hospitals (I wouldn't be surprised if they are lower). Idk, just feel sad that women in the hospital aren't given the chance to hear their options, get the statistics of how likely something to happen is, etc.

Why doesn't the video show the anesthesiologist blocking the camera if it was filming when she did it? And if that moment of the video is the time they were inserting the epidural, but the chair was in the way, why isn't anyone else in the room, why don't we hear them talking saying the things you say they said? Why are all those parts missing from the video? Just an observation but if the video was rolling, why not include it?

I had an extremely devastating experience with the passing of my 1st baby boy 3 years ago when i delivered at 5 months 1 week he lived 40min, i had my son 10months ago which was an extremely difficult traumatic birth i made it to 8 and a half cm on pit. And they kept on upping it all while insisting my son was not tolerating well heart rate wasnt speeding up during my hard contractions enough supposedly but then they would do nothing so i felt as though it was sprt of b.s and if it wasnt serious they were awful to be scaring me my partner that way and so i manage well but the pit was very very intense so i agreed to try the epidural that they were pushy abput getting my Anesthesiologist well, actually, they were too overseeing the other. I think when he came in, it was a nightmare through. And let my partner be near me at all. It took 27 minutes to get the other oil in my back and turns out. Not well, and it was a damage cassette. Or because it numb yet first but within 40 minutes I woke cause. I was exhausted in and out excited and labor for about a day. And a 1/2 had been stuck at 8 and a 1/2 centimeters for about 10 hours at this point. And in the doctor finally got it in. What are you like to leave? Because it was a horrible experience that every contract I had was so strong. And it would yell at me because my legs would twitch slightly. Not moving the bed or my torso and it was horrible he kept asking if i had a fused spin or Did I have scoliosis i said absolutely not and when i realized something was wrong with the epidural it took him ages to check and he was very very rude and cocky about nothing being wrong which in min was made to eat crow when he realized the line was defective leaking it made by delivering si much worse pain and emotionally i struggle with the rude or mean way i was treated as well as a few ladies i met when i was walking around to get Clear to go home and i just wish if anyone out there is going to deliver soon you have to be your own advocate girm but respectful and if u feel like someone is being unprofessional speak up its to Precious important as long moment a bit time. To worry about hurting their feelings or just not making ways.❤

@stillwatersfarm8499
@stillwatersfarm8499 11 ай бұрын
Castor oil didn’t work for me at all. I took all kinds of herbs too. Nothing worked. I went to 43 weeks with my last two. With my first two the midwife broke my water. With number two and number 4 I had to transfer for pitocin. (Number 4 was augmentation not induction.) I never had to have high doses like they gave this lady. A little bit of pitocin was enough to get me going. I did both without epidural and only took iv narcotic at transition. I had 1 and 3 at home. Honestly my experience with pit was it was no worse than natural labor - I needed it when my body wouldn’t produce hard enough contractions. But I had done all the things to soften and efface. I just needed to dilate. Every birth is different. Castor oil seems to work for some, but I didn’t even go to the bathroom after - I must have a gut of steel 😂

My doctor said to me which I thought wow you can tell that? He said.. Wow you have a really high tolerance!. I said, how can you tell? He said, do you feel that right now? I said what uncomfortable? He said yes. I've had women screaming mad. My husband chuckles and says. Well with her EDS, she's been experiencing pain her whole life. I guess that would make her pain tolerance higher would it not? Doc says, absolutely. Because right now you're contraction is going off. And you don't feel that? I was like tight uncomfortable. Yeah. He's like but you're not crying or screaming. I said no. I'm not going to allow my pain to control me. But I'm not even on a level of pain If I were going to say pain. I would say it's a 3... A nagging uncomfortable feeling... The nurse walks in and looks over and she goes woo look at that contraction. Are you okay? I said Yeah Are you? She said Yeah. Wow. You're going to be a quiet one aren't you?.. Then they found out that I was a cesarean and they were like Oh my God we got to get her going.. hahaha 😅😆😂 Then they gave me the spinal tap. The doctor shoves his scalpel into my hip. He said Did you feel that I said No but I saw that. Oh my gosh you stabbed me.. He said yes I have to make sure that the muscle is dead. I kid you not. Out of the cesarean that stab that he did my hip. It was the most painful part of my cesarean. Except for the ride home that was insanely painful. Riding over any bumps with staples down there.😅 NOOOO I have to add in. 3 weeks before I was giving birth. I already started my contractions. By the time I was at the hospital for my scheduled cesarean. I was already 3 cm dilated. And thank God we took me that day cuz I would have been put on bed rest. And God no I didn't want that stitched up. It was crazy when they popped my water. My doctor was like Oh my God the dysfunction of your kidney is so prominent with how much amniotic fluid you have in you. I wrote my other story on your other comment. The video short where they were knocking down your camera.. My birth nightmare it was an absolute freaking nightmare.
