Thanks for this video! Just bought and completed this game recently and fell in love with it so I was interested in attempting a speedrun.

Glad you liked it! It should have plenty to get you started. Just make sure you remember to opt-in to the beta. This has 2 distinct advantages. First, the autosplitter doesn't work for v1.06, so you'll have to manually split. This is a minor inconvenience. The second is that the update technically slowed the run down by 2 seconds. Ask around in the Discord if you have any questions! I'm not as active there as I used to be but every else there is always helpful. The speedrun discord is linked in the description.

This video was an excellent learning opportunity for me as all of my guides since then have had more reasonable times to read it. I now actually test every text with a relatively slow reading speed before I move on

Glad to see some interest! Livesplit has an autosplit function that you may use. The game is considered complete when the Queens health bar reaches zero (assuming you survive). The justification for this rule in the community seems to be that the credits will play. (In some rare cases you may die the at the same time as the queen which will not play the credits)
