This is a very great information delivery to someone who's a "okay but why?" need to know type learner. Thanks! One question: Option 2 after the Appellate body, the video says there's no compensation for a past loss. Wouldn't this conflict with country's such as the United States who have a retrospective remedy system? From how I understand it, the US can impose the anti-dumping or countervailing duties retroactively from the time of their investigation?

there is no compensation under the WTO TRADE DISPUTE SETTLEMENT BODY.

It's not a formal part of the process but any agreement that satisfies both parties stops the dispute de facto. Similar to an out-of-court settlement.
