I am in an entirely different business, and there is SO MUCH solid gold business advice in this episode. Advocate for yourself and earn what you're worth. "Many blossoms can bloom on one bush." No scarcity mindset. Don't let others undermine the work you love. To be early is to be on time. The gig is not the gig, it's the relationships that leads to the next gig. These women know what is what.

More people need to see and hear Mrs. Kasha Davis's message 💜 the LGBTQ community is not out for your children. We need to spread more acceptance and love.
@brockreynolds87010 ай бұрын
Kasha Davis is not out for your children... BUT the number of teens (especially teen girls) that are "identifying" as trans has tripled in the last 5 years. This points to a social hysteria(Mainly because it's not seen in boys, or in other age groups, or even in lower economic classes), which in unfortunate, because it makes it more difficult for people who truly ARE trans. There is also cultish aspects to it, such as easter egg colored hair, obsession with anime, even the type of girl succeptible to this (you rarely see the "pretty girls" or the "popular" girls identify as trans) Those of us who are older (meaning older than Kasha) were in the gay rights movement 40 years ago, and we spent DECADES trying to convince straight America that we weren't "coming for thier children", yet now there are activities that at least appear on the surface to prove their worst fears true. It's literally destroying everything we have worked to accomplish in the last 50 years.... and you have people living in gay bubbles, and people under 40 wondering WTF is going on. Well, what I've said above is what is going on.

Oooh damn my blood started to boil when the speaker-phone subject came up! I've ended decade long friendships because of that shit. When iphones came out it amplified the worst parts of certain people's personalities making them essentially crackheads to be around. I worked in restaraunts and have seen people intentionally START speaker phone convos as they're walking in the door just to create a huge communication barrier in the environment. I could go off for DAYS on that shit.

MKD said OshKosh B'gosh, which is an old blue jeans company. They got huge in the 70's and 80's. I wonder if Mrs. Davis knows that Oshkosh is an actual place here in Wisconsin... I used to visit there every summer to see cousins, and this was back during the 80's when OshKosh B'gosh was a big deal, so it's always fun to me to hear someone reference those old jeans. Maybe that's the most boring anecdote you've ever read on KZbin, but it's still fun for me. I LOVE you, Mrs. Kasha Davis! Congratulations on all your fantastic and exciting work, and good job on that sobriety, too. You keep it up. Because i get a funny feeling about how Delta said the thing about having brunches and story hours or whatnot around the country; I think she's right. I see trajectory and propulsion in your career. I really do think the next couple years have some big things in store for you and your career. And Delta Work, of course i say this all the time: You're fabulous, this pod is hilarious and congratulations on the success, and it is literally the only thing about Monday i look forward too. I would give one of my arms to be able to come see a live show. Thank both of you gals so much, this episode was a privilege. ❤

My Grandma uses speakerphone all the time because she Is hard-of-hearing, but she also lets people know That they're on speaker phone. I find it kind of ableist when someone complains about someone on their speaker phone because They Don't Know if those people have Hearing loss and that sometimes some people don't have the luxury of earphones or headphones. But i understand it can be rude and annoying
