@@aiku111 I'll explain the joke to you since you don't get it lol. It's a joke that makes use of double entendre, a figure of speech that has been used in comedy forever. "Shoot kids inside you" means ejaculating inside of someone's anus after anal intercourse, and it also means shooting children inside schools as a reference to the epidemic of mass shootings in the U.S. The laughs come from, yes, the shock, but also an appreciation of the wit to come up with the double entendre on the spot. It's funny, and it's not morally wrong to make those jokes or laugh at it. It is childish for you to misinterpret that joke as "spiteful". The real yikes here is your knee-jerk reaction to moralize every joke you see.

Some stores don't give receipts because receipt paper is not recyclable. It's thermal sensitive paper that has been treated in a way that sends it into a landfill. I believe that receipt printer manufacturers have a duty to create more eco-friendly, printed, itemized receipts. HOWEVER, many companies assume you do not want a receipt despite the fact that it automatically prints regardless! I generally decline receipts, but it doesn't seem to matter much for me to decline a receipt if your register prints it anyway. I will say, email receipts are preferable to me and my taxes, since I will lose printed receipts easier vs a digital receipt which will stay in my emails. Fun tip: create an email just for financial information and you will always them.

It retort to Delta's receipt issue, as someone who's worked in retail for 20-plus years, nowadays most customers, I'd argue to say 99%, don't want a receipt. In fact when they crumple a receipt, it often becomes my problem instead of theirs when they leave. Or the customer will crumple it and throw it at the entrance of my building. So in fact Delta the default shouldn't be getting a receipt and you are in fact the outlier

Response to today's going off: In California, there are lots of movements to eliminate paper receipts w/o a customer request. There is an effort now called AB1347 and other bills have been attempted multiple times. For some reason, most receipt paper is also coated with plastic and cannot be recycled so it is a surprisingly broad issue.
