My favorite part is the line work. Idk why just clean lines look so good and elevated the colors. Really love the piece 😍

I'm just blown away at how you blend like magic and with copics too! I'm having a hard time blending in copics. I'm usually on digital so the way I blend is very different from using copics and I'm blown away at how you can unite the colors so casually, you're amazing!

Thanks a lot for your kind words! :) I can give you some tips for starting blending colors in easier way: 1) Start by using lighter colors - you can recognize them by the last number of the code, the smaller, the lighter. So for example R02 with R00. Start with the darker color and then use the lighter. 2) Then you can try mixing darker colors, like BV29 and BV25 or E49 and E47. If you want to do a transition from a dark color to a light color, you have to use more colors of course! A good example is with the grey scale. I always tell my students NOT to buy EVERY shade, you can just buy some of them (for example, I have C0, C1, C3, C5, C7 and C9). 3) In order to give more vibrant tones, start blending colors of similar-but-not-same family, even if they have the same "Brightness" values :) For example, I tend to blend red (R) with red-violet (RV) and the with violet (V), or yellow-green (YG) and blue-green (BG) using the same trick explained before: YG00 and BG10, or RV69 and R85 :) I hope these tricks will be useful!

What colors to use for the skin and what type of paper did you use for the drawing?
@matteo_dodo Жыл бұрын
I used a thick smooth paper, like 160g/m2. For example, if you search on Amazon Favini paper, that's perfect! The most important thing to me is the thickness, I don't use copy paper cause it's too thin. Regarding skin color, I use several combos ☺️ probably in this drawing I used E50 as a base and R01 and BV31 as shadows ☺️
