Very nice. The view from the plane is actually Antibes, I lived there for 4 years and visited Monaco about 10 times. This video reminded me of many afternoons there.

You're right, and the reason I call it Monaco because when seen from the plane port Auban of Antibes looks so much closer than 35 miles from Monaco haha. You used to live there for that long? how amazing. I just love the French Riviera to death ;-)

My how that hotel has changed. It never looked like every other 5 star hotel and now it does. It's authenticity, it's groundedness in historic reference all gone, top to bottom, even the garden. What a shame.

You hit the nail on the head. I asked for the same room that I stayed & loved the first time (the Jr. Suite with Casino view - see my video "Splendid Christmas Monte-Carlo in 2017) and were shown a room remodeled truly for the worse. Whoever decorated it not only managed to have rendered the Jr. Suite smaller also successfully annihilated the warm and cozy alwhile cocooned in luxury feel that was there before - woefully replaced it with just another ubiquitous 5star hotel vibe room. The Jr. Suite featured here in this video is a slightly improved version...which doesn't say much haha. Not happy with the rest of the hotel either. Yes, what a shame.
