Have travelled recently to Como, I was overwhelmed by its stunning beauty. Wished I could stay in Grand Hotel Tremezzo, helas, way above my modest budget, the cheapest room there was offered for 700 euros. Looks like it is the most expensive hotel around the lake. Thanks for showing us how it looks inside. Stayed in far cheaper Riviera hotel in Cadenabbia, had two balconies overlooking the lake and funny sculpture decorating one of them. Few glasses of wine allowed me held pretty lively conversation with that sculpture, she too was concerned about the state of buisness in times of pandemia.

Oh wow you were just there at Como how wonderful is that I'd trade anything for being there right now. Two balconies over the lake, flowing wine, funny sculptures to keep you company what more can one ask for. Don't know when the world can truly be back to normal, hopefully sooner than later....but we'll get there emerging the other end stronger, wiser that's for sure. I love them both, maybe villa d'este just a tad more simply because the food was better, plus great staff...but the staff at grand hotel tremezzo was way lovelier. Good question :)
