I absolutely LOVE "Chats!" We all have our vices. Every single last one of us! I know I have mine. For you to come out here, so vulnerably, and share yours with us shows such Strength in my opinion! As silly as this may sound (and this is certainly not my worst vice) I tried to give up coffee about a month ago. I had NO IDEA how much my body, mood and energy depended on it until I tried to give it up!!! I've NEVER been able to take naps in my entire life and suddenly all I wanted to do was lay down to rest my eyes, and somehow I would fall into a deep sleep for a good hour! 3 weeks of that, and I'm now back to being a coffee drinker. Lol! I'm SO proud of you for trading in cigarettes for the vapor ones! My sister has battled her smoking addiction her entire life and she's now smoking the vapors too. Baby steps! You're on the right track!! I wish you the best of luck! :-D

I quit smoking 27 years ago! Quitting smoking was the best thing you have ever done for yourself....congrats! I have always had to watch my weight...Stress and cortisol are the main culprits for me...and now, dealing with menopause ...WOW, nothing is happening...I am trying to release the stressful things from my life...I have read many articles that say...You can eat and exercise perfectly...if cortisol is rampant in your body...NO weight will be lost...I HATE MILK...but I do have greek yogurt daily...bone loss is my issue...Love coconut milk , baby thai coconuts make the best smoothies...RYE Bread is actually better for weight loss....( I read A LOT of studies...LOL...I know , crazy)....I think you look fabulous! I love these kinds of videos...we learn so much from each other...Great Chat Nisha!!

Cześć Agnieszko! I understand the wish for stopping the antidepressants but be very, very careful. Many psychiatrists now say that someone with chronic depression like yours should stay on antidepressants forever, otherwise it will recur. So be on the lookout for any signs of depression you experience and don't hesitate to start your meds again. Wishing you the best. Magda z Miami. PS I'd love to come to New York but I can't walk very much right now because I need a hip replacement, so maybe next time. Uściski.

Hi Nisha, I've been watching your videos for quite awhile now and have never commented, but I wanted to take a moment and tell you that I think it is so great that you are so comfortable with talking about the depression, stress, smoking, weight, etc. I think that's why I enjoy your videos so much, you always seem to be so real and relatable : ) And I think you are right about the milk... I don't drink a lot of milk but my husband used to drink a lot of mochas and he noticed he was putting on weight and feeling puffy but he switched to soy milk and feels much better. I've struggled a bit with my weight since I quit working out about 8 months ago.... I've always been concerned/obsessed with my weight and honestly I wish I just didn't care because it's exhausting to always be thinking about it and I'm going to be 46 in a few weeks and I'm tired of caring about it lol.... I hope that made sense! Anyways, I guess what I'm trying to say is that I enjoy your videos and personality so thank you for making them : )

So pleased to see this video, please be very very careful going off those AD meds. I was on a good regime for 20 years, I suggested to my fam doc that I go off mine. She SHOULD have referred me back to the psychiatrist who originally prescribed them, I had a horrible depression, couldn't eat sleep, and find everything even like preparing a meal to be so so overwhelming. I've been following your videos for 2 years and am so proud to see you sharing your journey, don't let the negative comments get to you, you are an inspiration to me, and your videos always help me feel better!!

Depression is such a hard thing to deal with, I weened myself off the tablets years ago after suffering a shocking event but I'm back on it now while I deal with separation but when I'm ready I think I will also do it very slowly. We all have to keep thinking of what is working best for us and we know ourselves better than drs so it's good to remember that our input into our own health is just as crucial as professionals. I started an eating lifestyle that took milk out of the diet and talked about it not being good for us but I haven't been able to do much for myself because of depression but it's certainly something I'm working towards because on the times I"ve been eating clean I have felt so much better and weight slowly goes. All the best with the things your doing and love that you share your experiences of life

Nisha, thank you sooooo much for sharing your such an important part of life's journey, today. I started smoking when I was in college. Fast forward to 14 years ago when I was diagnosed with my neurological disease.... I'd been in the hospital after having some sort of surgery. (I've had so many, I forget.) My neurologist actually told me NOT to quit smoking because my brain needed the chemicals from the nicotine, along with mounds of pain medication, to keep the pain at a "livable" level. As it was, I still passed out from the pain several times a week. When they finally developed vapor cigarettes (believe me, I've tried them all) that really work, I was so happy to switch over, because I hate smoking, and I've wanted to quit for years. 😊

Sorry this is so long, pretty lady! Finally, menopause started to really set in, as well. So, just like my doctor at the world renowned Mayo Clinic told me, menopause would be my only hope for relief. Three years and four months ago, my local doctors and I were able to start decreasing my pain medication. I'll have this disease forever, but the level of manageability will increase as I get older, hopefully. If you and I will probably always need to "vape", I say great!. It's a hell of a lot better for our bodies than liver and kidney killing medication, Nisha!! All in all, I'm very thankful that you're feeling better. And, I'm very grateful to have survived my disease and been one of the few who gets to live with the milder chronic form. You're amazing and I hope you have a marvelous week, Nisha!! Love from Dallas! ❤️ xoxo Amy Lisette

Hi Nisha! Just wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed this video. We all struggle with weight, depression, eating right and some issue like smoking. Discussing it like this helps. I gave up my cigarettes 36 years ago and like many others have said, it's probably one of the best things I could have done for myself. Now at 60, although I have health issues, at least I am proud to know I tried my very best to take care of myself. I wish you well on your journey. JUST FOUND YOUR CHANEL TODAY, VERY INFORMATIVE, THE ONLY THING I WOULD SAY ABOUT THE MEDS FOR DEPRESSION, IS MY FAMILY TAKES MEDS FOR THIS, AND A FEW FRIENDS, IM NOT SURE ITS WISE TO GO OFF THE MEDS, IF YOUR DOING WELL ON THEM, EACH TIME THEY HAVE GONE OFF BECAUSE THERE FEELING SO WELL, THEY CRASH EACH TIME, AND GO BACK ON, THEN IT TAKES AWHILE FOR THE BLOOD LEVEL TO COLLECT TO WHERE THERE WELL AGAIN, SO IM WONDERI G IF YOU ARE WILLING TO TAKE THAT CHANCE, I KNOW EACH ONE IS DIFFERANT BUT JUST A THOUGHT. I ENJOYED THIS TALK🌺

Great little chat Nisha! I too suffer with depression and like you it started when I had my 16yr old. I thought it was PND but I began to notice that whenever a stressful thing happened it would trigger it, sadly I'm still on them and have a lot of stress in my family life at the moment, so hopefully one day I'll be weaning myself of them too. I'm also loosing weight, not on a diet as such, just cutting out lots of baddies that I would overload on!! I've so far lost half a stone in about a month, but I've become a little gym bunny and doing around 5 classes per week! It's been a killer but no pain no gain!! xoJoanxo

Hi sweet Nisha. Whenever I have a problem, whether it be financial, sickness or anything, I ask God in the name of Jesus to help me and he always does. God's word tells us he will never leave us or forsake us. Sometimes he does use medicine to heal us. I'm glad you are feeling better.

I'm was a 20 a day smoker for 22 years, I quit cigarettes 4 years ago and started vaping which I thought was an amazing way to get off cigarettes, I weaned off the ecig over 12 months and have been cigarette/vape free for 3 years, but unfortunately put 3 stone on😕I am now following a low fat diet, joining my local gym and go swimming 3x a week and have lost 20lb 😁I also suffer with depression so have days when I can't be bothered to get out of bed let alone walk 45 mins to leisure centre(I don't drive) but I'm on way way to feeling good again and at 42 years old I'm sure the menopause will soon be biting me on the bum sooner rather than later. So glad to hear that vaping has worked for you! I feel that vaping has saved mine and my family's lives. Nicotine is really no different than people intaking caffine. Vaping can help with losing weight because there are so many yummy flavors and curbs cravings for sweets. We started with cigalikes that resemble cigarettes but have since moved on to batteries with eliquid tanks. They work much better than the cigalikes and also are cheaper. Vape on!

Thank you, I too started with the cigalikes and them moved on to the batterie ones, we ex cigarette smokers are trying to do our best to deal with our addiction, shame that there is so many people so quick to judge , but at the end of the day it is our life and our choice. Vape on lol xoxoNisha

Thanks you so much for your honesty! I have been battling anxiety and depression for about 7 years now since my brother passed away at the age of 32. We live in North Carolina and in the winter days it gets worse. We will be moving back to our home state of "sunny" south Florida in a couple of months and I am hoping that the weather and being closer to family again will help. If not, then I will have to go to the doctor and get medication (something I've been avoiding). But I'm really excited and I know deep inside that I will get better, specially since I need sun to be happy like flowers :). Your video was very positive and gave me hope that this can go away and you can feel better when you find your own formula as to what works for you and that is different for everyone! Hugs and kisses from North Carolina soon to be Florida ;)

I am sorry about your loss. There is nothing wrong with taking medication, it is so much better than being in that dark place, there is too much stigma out there about depression, I am not ashamed of it, it is a chronic disease of today's society no different to diabetes and diabetics take their meds for the rest of their life and no one bats an eyelid. I am sure the weather will help I hope you feel better soon and look after yourself xoxoNisha

I get to binge watch your videos and I like that. ) I may have told you before I used to work for an electronics company in Reading so I've visited that area several times and did a bit of sight seeing up in Leeds area; especially loved Haworth. Your mentioning tea reminded me of my time there and how it bothered the people I worked with that I put the milk in my tea at the end hen the proper way is milk n first. 😁 Be bless my friend!

Thank you for your honesty regarding smoking/vaping. I too quit smoking with vaping and August will be 2 years smoke free :) I do still vape, although I have been able to lower the nicotine level over time. To the people who have tried vaping and been unsuccessful, may I suggest trying several different flavors of ejuice and different levels of nicotine. Higher levels can be very harsh and may be what caused your sore throat. There are several KZbin channels dedicated to vaping if anyone is looking for more information.

I am so glad to see you talk about the milani foundation. I am loving it but still wanted to know your opinion on it. If your "tan" color is the sand beige I really think you would like the 04 medium beige when you are not tanning. I wear the same color as you in all other foundations and those are the colors that are working great for me. I also was able to quit smoking a little over a year ago when I switched to vaping & also dropped about 25 lbs. I honestly just feel so much better.

+SugarPuffAndFluff 04 medium beige is a perfect neutral IMO. Their lighter shades are waaay too yellow and the 03 is neutral but a tad too light. And yes I didn't realize how many people are vaping now either. It has definitely helped me. I had that "smokers cough" & I'm only 37. That is what motivated me into looking at vaping & it's working out so far lol.

I am so glad that you are feeling better and you look great and if vaping helps than good for you it's better than cigarettes I think. Thanks for sharing.

Great vlog Nisha! Thank you for interjecting your humour into such a serious topic. I too, went through a very stressful period in my life almost 3 years ago and started considering smoking after not smoking for 10 years. I did some research on what really happens to the body when it's exposed to nicotine and found out it was not all bad. So to make a long story short, I tried vaping and made sure my liquid came from a reputable source. It has helped immensely in controlling my stress and anxiety.

Thank you for sharing your story. Getting rid of the dairy in my life was the best thing I've done for my heath. You are so right...we are the only species that drinks the milk of another, and the fat in cows milk is designed to add 500 lbs to a newborn calf until it's weaned.

What a great chat. Depression and our health is so important to share. Smoking has been a battle for me, considering I work in the medical field I find it embarrassing to still be a smoker at this point in my life, we do have to choose our own battles to fight. I often wonder about Vaping, I wonder myself if it would help me when I see peeps that don't even smoke are taking up vaping and that makes no sense to me. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you and please don't beat yourself up about smoking, I know these days people treat smokers like lepers , but I understand how hard it is to give up and one day you will succeed, when you are ready, but you could try vaping as it is 100% better for you than smoking and it doesn't smell, I love that as I was always conscious about smelling of cigarettes . xoxoNisha

Great video. You never disappoint. I want to thank you for talking about Depression. Depression is not a common topic of conversation. Unfortunately is very common. I personally suffered from Post-partum depression and is nothing to mess with. My faith helped me along with counseling. Today my refuge is exercise and that outlet saved me from taking medications. I started walking and today I jog and take cardio workouts at the gym :-)

I really enjoy the flavors, the sweeter, the better! I'm currently using the Target in rose gold (pink) by Vaporesso. I'd be interested in what models you like? I'm ready to purchase another...

Nisha I am very happy that you are feeling better. I smoke also and smoking actually burns calories and when you quit it is normal no matter what you do, you will gain 10 pounds automatically. So maybe that's why I don,t quit. But I am glad that you quit smoking. I have the vapor ones too, but still smoke. xoxo Pat

Love your chats! I think I have a dairy intolerance. If I have milk or cheese or ice cream before I sleep my nose and sinuses get congested and blocked. I did try almond milk on my cereal but I find it too watery and not creamy enough (I usually use skimmed milk) so am still exploring alternatives.

I have an intolerance also to milk and gluten. I tried soy milk and the one that works best for me is coconut milk. I live in the Caribbean so it's easy somewhat For me to get dry coconut n use. But u can buy grater coconut add boil water to it. Blend and strain. The consistency is thicker n taste better than watery almond milk.

Thanks for sharing the info about your vaping/depression/weight journey.. I stopped smoking several times over the past 30 or so years and always gained weight and became more depressed. I have steadily gained weight/been depressed and on medication since I finally stopped smoking for good over 20 years ago, and have wondered since vaping came on the scene whether that would help my weight and mood issues. However, I'm not willing to take the risk, given my family cancer history and other social constraints that exist in my peer group, so I'll keep trying other avenues. Everyone must find their own way, and you are courageous and generous to share your experience. And you look great, btw. Love your channel. xoxoBeth

Nisha, thank you for your honesty with the smoking issues. I've never smoked but my mother has off and on and I wish she would stop as she did when she was raising a family. When my brother turned 18, he left home and mom started smoking again after 17 years of not doing it. My sister vapors because she stopped smoking and gained like 30 pounds. I love your honesty! Nicotine stimulates the metabolism, so it's a double-whammy when you quit. Yes, you miss having your hands and mouth occupied :o) and substitute with snacking, but there is also the sudden slowing down of the metabolism without that extra stimulation. Nicotine affects so many things.

Don't worry about having to stay on meds, if I still felt down I would stay on them, also don't beat up yourself about vaping, I do it all the time, but I know I am not inhaling any nasty chemicals, just nicotine which is not much different to caffeine, there are people that drink 10 cups of strong coffee every day (as it is addictive also) and no one tells them off for it. Just do what makes you happy and feel better xoxoNisha

She was everything!! I miss her terribly! There are days when I just cry but I realize now it won't bring her back and she wouldn't want to see me this way! So hard!! We as women go through so much in our lives! My weight issue seems under control! I'm very tiny...5'1" . I am such a foodie!! I have to watch every bite! I can pack on the lbs very easily! I've had back surgery so exercises are out! only walking! I do have a 3 story house and constantly going upstairs and downstairs I think is my saving grace! Another thing.... I was bloating very badly! I switched to a gluten free diet 3yrs ago! I feel so much better! I don't know if it was the wheat or gluten but they are out of my life now and I only eat clean unprocessed foods! You my friend look fab! You don't look like you have an issue with your weight at all! Looking at you in the look book video you look awesome! I have big boobs too for a tiny girl! If we could weigh these girls....they have to be what??? Maybe 7lbs? Just be healthy and happy and enjoy your life! That's what my friends and I try and live bye these days! I've not had milk for years - I have unsweetened almond "milk" but the only downside is its more expensive, especially since I use a litre a day between tea and smoothie. Still only 130 cals a litre though, less than skimmed milk :0) Funny enough, i have moments where I think "if I went back to smoking, I'd be skinny in no time". Also always worry about when something happens to our parents, we are both convinced we will turn to cigarettes, so vaping may be an option then! Love your makeup hun, perfection. x

So odd that I found this chat with you, as I started coming off of my Effexor for about 6 months. I was on it for at least 5 years for "hot flashes" and mild depression due to the dare hot flashes... and am now 58 years young. LOL My hot flashes are basically gone and so that is why I am going off the Effexor. I also in the last 5 years put on weight from being 126lbs when I was 50 up to now 145lbs now. I can't stand this weight. I think what you are saying is what I am going through also. I put a lot of my gain up to menopause - post. I do walk one hour a day in the summer and in winter I do palates and weights. Hoping that going off the Effexor my weight will drop to my normal. :)

Dear Nisha - as always, your openness and honesty are tonic. Have you ever considered meditation? I'm not talking about becoming a Zen monk, but something called Meditation Based Stress Reduction developed by Jon Kabat Zinn (he's written several books - easy to follow and very helpful). In the US many hospitals offer free classes in that or similar programs. Worth investigating and as easy as breathing. Good luck.

Thank you for sharing this video Nisha, it's Monday so of course I was looking forward to a new video and being able to see you again. I've never smoked in my life at all, but in your situation, I can understand how the vapors would help you , I'm so glad you're feeling better, wish I could say that for myself, I also deal with bad anxiety, to make things worse, my parents are moving to Montana this summer about 10 hours away from me, I've never been more than 5 miles away from my mom in my entire life. .. big time anxiety, anyway enough about that, you know the look book video you did last and the pink shirt you were wearing, well I went to the sight to order one and they only ship within the uk , do you have something else to maybe be like it to order in the US , I loved that shirt and it is such a great color, as always, you look beautiful and I know I always say that, but I truly mean that, I wouldn't mind looking like you any day , I hope you enjoy the rest of your week and I hope the stress in your family has gotten better, much love , misty.
