I like what you teach but some of us are using acoustic guitars. Your positioning makes it very difficult to play what you are playing.

Sorry about that, Keith! Remember, if Steve's playing something above the 12th fret, you can move it down one octave and play it lower on the guitar. For example if the note was on the high E at the 15th fret, you can pay the note one octave lower on the high E, 3rd fret. If you're primarily an acoustic player (like me, Mike from GuitarZoom), you'll run into this sort of thing a lot: you'll find songs written for electric that you really want to play on your acoustic. And you want it to sound as authentic as possible, but there's stuff in the song that just can't be played the same way on acoustic. When that happens, it's VERY helpful to know where the notes are on the fretboard, as well as understand a few basic music theory concepts. Sorry for the inconvenience, Duke! :-) But don't forget, a lot of bands have used this tuning over the years (KISS, Guns 'N Roses, Nirvana, and many others), so while it is inconvenient to have to tune down all the strings a half step, it is good to be familiar with that tuning, at the very least. But it can be a pretty big curveball if you're not expecting it.
